The research recognizes that potential agroecological transitions face challenges from entrenched power structures and the historical #erasure of knowledge systems, calling for more than technical adjustments—rather a fundamental revaluing of diverse ways of knowing and being is essential. In this context, this research responds to the pressing need for a deeper understanding of pluriversal knowledge systems, epistemologies of the South, and learning approaches that have emerged organically within the Latin American context, where agroecological movements have deep and strong roots.

The growth of agroecology, also as an academic discipline, presents both opportunities and challenges. While it validates traditional agricultural practices within Western scientific frameworks, it risks perpetuating colonial knowledge hierarchies if not grounded in decolonial perspectives. Decolonial pedagogies are fundamental for accelerating agroecological transitions. As shown in this study, traditional communities in #Colombia and #Peru have preserved and evolved their #agroecology knowledge systems through generations of #CollectiveLearning, offering profound insights into #Sustainable #FoodProduction that transcend the limitations of Western scientific methodologies. In parallel, decolonial pedagogies in the Brazilian case were essential to promote agroecological transition that started recently in the last decades.

"The three contextual narratives that emerged from the South pedagogy archetype are intricate and interconnected, defying simplistic categorization. This study shows how the South pedagogy archetype serves as a model of resistance to poverty and social exclusion through agroecology. As research understanding deepens, there is a pressing need to explore Indigenous pedagogies to unveil additional valuable approaches to learning that lead to more inclusive educational models that resonate with diverse learners and address complex global challenges.

"By showcasing the rich knowledge systems and alternative learning structures present in these three cases, this research provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and practitioners. These findings can inform the co-creation of strategies that nurture agroecological systems and transitions, embrace the growing diversity of agroecology approaches, and navigate the complexities inherent in designing learning processes that value multiple ways of being."

"At its core, solarpunk envisions a world reorganized around #RenewableEnergy, genuine #cooperation, and #SustainableDesign that doesn’t sacrifice beauty or dignity in the process. The key themes include #AntiConsumerism, #CommunityAction, #localism, and what activists call #PrefigurativePolitics, which is essentially the idea that we should live the change we wish to see starting immediately, not someday when conditions magically align.

"The 'punk' in solarpunk carries real weight. #Fanon, le film

Jean Claude Barny saisit la courte vie du psychiatre martiniquais au moment où il prend son poste à l'hôpital de Blida-Joinville en 1953. Frantz Fanon, n'a publié que sa thèse refusée "Peau noires et masques blancs" mais sa pensée est déjà toute dressée contre le colonialisme. Ce qui va la forger en génie est le déplacement vers cet autre angle d'attaque qu'offre l'Algérie où éclate la révolution de novembre 1954. Le psychiatre soigne tout le monde, l'armée et les pieds-noirs d'un côté, le peuple algérien et les fellaghas de l'autre - ce qui permet au film d'évacuer d'emblée tout manichéisme - Fanon expérimente des méthodes plus humaines sur les malades, ôte les chaînes qui les entravent, écoute la folie de chacun et remonte à sa genèse. Il se plonge dans l'exploration du trauma colonial : "Faire réaliser au colon que lui aussi est aliéné et qu'on ne peut pas soigner l'un sans l'autre, c'est le défi qui nous attend".

About Murder by Decree

Murder by Decree is an #uncensored #record of the planned #extermination of #IndigenousChildren in #Canada’s murderous Indian #ResidentialSchools. It is issued as a corrective #CounterReport to the miscarriage of #justice by Church and State known as the “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” #TRC. Based on eyewitness #testimonies and #archival #documentation deliberately suppressed or ignored by the TRC, Murder by Decree proves that the #genocide of #IndigenousPeople began as a religion-led campaign and continues to be a deliberate governmental policy in Canada. This Counter Report reveals these startling facts: – Over half of Indian residential school children began dying the very first year these church-run facilities were opened – This huge mortality rate continued unabated for over a half century because of deliberate practices of germ warfare according to a prescribed monthly “death quota” – Evidence of these crimes and their intentional nature has been continually destroyed by the RCMP and the #Catholic, #Anglican and #UnitedChurch since at least 1960 – The same genocide continues today, is aimed at indigenous women and children, and is driven by foreign corporate interests hungry for #NativeLands and resources Murder by Decree is issued by The International Tribunal for the Disappeared of Canada (ITDC), an international #coalition of #jurists and #HumanRights groups. October 2003: Lycée Henri Wallon in Aubervilliers expelled two sisters for wearing headscarves. A deafening political and media controversy ensued. The polemic obtained a law enacted on 15 March 2004, that banned girls wearing headscarves from schools.

Nathalie (in 2015): "I have children to feed and I’m looking for work, so I’m taking off my headscarf. I have no choice. No choice."
