Aus meiner Sicht lösen Verbote oft Furcht & Reaktanz aus - und erleichtern damit die Desinformation des fossilen Lobbyismus, tragen zu Wahlniederlagen progressiver Parteien bei.

Deswegen plädiere ich dafür, stärker auf Förderung & Beispiele - auf #Mimesis - zu setzen, um den Ausbau der post-fossilen Technologien zu beschleunigen & immer mehr Menschen aus der fossilen Falle zu holen. Dann verändern sich auch die Haltungen und Mehrheiten.

Während die fossil geprägte Energie-Bürokratie in Deutschland den volkswirtschaftlich längst lohnenden Ausbau von bereits beantragten Netzanschlüssen & Batteriespeichern noch verzögert, kommen täglich mehr fahrende Batteriespeicher sogar mit Bundesförderung auf die Straße: Elektroautos.

Und diese reduzieren direkt den Import von Öl sowie den Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen, ihre schnell besser werdenden & zunehmend recyclebaren Batterien können zudem auch noch überschüssigen Solarstrom speichern und bei Bedarf wieder abgeben: also die Mitwelt schützen & lokale Werte schöpfen.

Bin sicher: Auch fossile Gaskraftwerke werden in wenigen Jahren nur noch Subventionsgräber sein.

Ich habe keinen Balkon, weshalb die #Solarmodule auf der #Terrasse stehen.

Damit sie bei stürmischen Wetterlagen nicht wegfliegen - was noch zu überprüfen sein wird - habe ich bei der Aufständerung an jede Halterung schwere Füße angeschraubt.

Beim örtlichen #steinmetz und #steintechniker habe ich mir für die Beschwerung dicke Steine mit Schrauben anfertigen lassen.

I need to build a shed for the Nesher electric loader/excavator I’ve acquired. Intrigued about doing so using #RammedEarth walls. I have lots of heavy clay soils, and the loader’s bucket to help with moving it. No experience with building wall forms. Maybe those will be extra challenging as I’m considering a round shed if I go for rammed earth. About 250 square feet.

Anyone have thoughts? Right up the #Solarpunk alley.

Yay! This is overwhelmingly nice! Three days after I start this last mile campaign I hit the target. It is touching. I called an actor to let him know he passed the auditions and he replied with "You made my day" so now I can now say the same to the fedi. I've finally made the decision to buy some solar panels and a bit of storage.

My current renting situation really isn't well suited to it and my balcony only has room for a ridiculously underpowered 550Wp, which I can only mount vertically for now, reducing max power output by ~45%. But hey, at least it's due South.

It's been running for a (pretty miserably cloudy) week now and with the estimate from the Anker App I'll have made my money back in about 9 years at this rate, BUT

a) I don't trust my current fossil-brained, strapped for cash government to rollback the 0% VAT rate for solar power equipment soon and
b) even with the little power I make, solar is just fucking magical :blobaww: :blobaww:

It just sits there all day, quietly consuming sunlight and when I come home from work there's enough energy stored for me to charge my e-bike and power a 2 hour gaming session with my steam deck + 4000 Lumen projector.
At the end of the day I'm at ~55% SoC which will easily replenish during the next day.

So was it a financially sound decision right now? Probably not*.

Have I become a fucking magical Druid that harnesses the power of nature and rides to work on rays of sunshine?
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY 🧙‍♂️🌞

*but fuck it, gotta enjoy that tech job money before AI gets me

Edit: can we get home EV chargers shared with other users?

Trying to solve my own problem and also trying to find existing solutions online discourse.

Can you help me think about this or point at existing solutions/conversations?

Hypothesis:
1. for owners of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) without dedicated home/work charging it’s already hard to find available (convenient) charging stations. (Most cannot use the high speed DC chargers)
2. if gas prices continue to rise, it will encourage PHEV users to seek more charging over gasoline usage.
3. Most people with home EV chargers have lots of available time when they are not charging.
4. A potential solution would be to find a trusted way to connect home EV charging (particularly combined with home solar during the day) with PHEV users.

What are the barriers? Is this model working anywhere?
