Artist: Gustave Courtois - Hercules at the Feet of Omphale (1912)Too often while I'm looking for inspirational art, I pass by paintings whose male-female power dynamic is inappropiate for the Lashunta Damaya Matriarchy, or I'm forced to compromise. Not this time!
The Greeks made Hercules' servitude to Omphale the butt of comic ridicule. Yet this is day in the life for lashunta in the Age of Lost Omens. Any korasha male would be honored to thus serve his housewife, so long as he can avoid the epithet of ~kifolinazas~ - napkin/diaper-bearer.

At the O.D.I.N. table, a grenade now hits everything in its radius. The GM taps the centre, the table rolls against each target separately, cover protects, and dodging halves the damage.
Powers and spells with an area work the same way, each with its own animation. Also new: a line to your group's Discord. Rolls, rounds and hits show up as a short line in the channel, hidden rolls and whispers never. Still in the browser, no account.

In October the O.D.I.N. table rolls Halloween dice: the white ones bone-coloured, the coloured ones pumpkin orange, and a fanged pumpkin grins on every 6.
The theme runs all October and disappears in November on its own. Not your thing? Switch it off in the settings. The Owlbear Rodeo extension has the same dice, and there the GM decides. Still in the browser, no account.

Last corvette for a while, probably. This one's a bit of crossover content too, with a different kind of Traveller!
In the Traveller TTRPG, one of the most well-known designs(and the one the majority of groups operate out of at some point) is the classic Type A(or Beowulf class?) Free Trader. When I first heard of corvettes on their release, my first thought was we were basically making ships on the same scale as that and the 100T Scout ship. Now that I'd cut my teeth a bit on those other designs, I thought I'd finally take a whack at building one in No Man's Sky!
Also to note: this was all done with stock building. No Blender, mods, or glitches.

Couple of distinct events but interesting related from the past week.
I played World of Warcraft after a 10+ year hiatus and I was put "out of sorts" to find out that encounters are now adjusted to your level. I could go to Northrend at level 13 and there were a bunch of level 13 dragons flying around.
@kensanata mentioned he ran a game of traveller where the players attempted an assault on a heavily guarded ship.
My weekly game, last week, stopped just before the group decided to enter a hermit's cave that contains a deadly monster.
And it got me to thinking about, "What is fair?".
There could easily be a level 20 dragon in the cave. Or just a mad old hermit who makes loud noises to scare the locals.
On the one hand, I think there is an expectation that the referee is going to put a level appropriate encounter in front of the players, but on the other hand, that is really, really boring.
If you are level 13 and everything you face is level 13, what is the point? It is either scaled so you are just going to barely win every fight, or you had bad rolls and so... you died from chance.
Goes back to battles as a sport, versus battles as unrestricted warfare.
