  1. I want to give an unasked-for recommendation for Laura Coyle and her Illustrator courses. I've found a great deal of value in them - she has pre-recorded classes (which she updates frequently as Adobe adds/changes stuff) and she also does live sessions - some with a topic, some just Q&A. The live sessions usually have fewer than a dozen participants, so you actually do get a chance to chime in and ask stuff. Plus there's a whole message board where you can ask questions, too.

Anyhoo, she's having a sale on her annual membership, so I thought I'd take this chance to highlight her excellent work. I'm not getting anything out of this, just passing along a thing I think is worth your time and money.

  8. More Hillman Imps are off to a new home in the UK, always good to see these getting out there. This time it's the multicolour tile pattern rather than an individual Imp.

  13. Worlds of IF (April 1968)

I can't tell if this is in the sea or not, those plants look like seaweed. This style reeks of the late 60s, early 70s. I can almost smell the felt pens it was drawn with.

  15. Last week, I thrifted a copy of Peggy Treadwell’s “Working Couple’s Cookbook” from 1971 with illustrations by Craig Torlucci, and I gotta say, Craig’s artistic style in this cookbook is extremely cool.

  19. Hi! I'm a bot posting Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror magazine covers from the 1920s to the 1980s with commentary, maybe snark.

Sourced from archive.org, where you can read the original magazines.
