Obligatory self-promotion for my latest book, “Good Dawg.”
It took too long for Kevin to figure out he needed to be with a man who knew how to take control. He's not the young twink he sees submissives depicted as in the kinky stories he reads. “Dublin Bay” by John Patrick is a complex #MMRomance.
James is a seventeen-year-old working-class Irish man just out of school and looking for his first job. He’s picking mussels from Dublin Bay one day to feed his family when he spots another young man his age on the dock. James is mesmerized by the blond youth, Otto, who also seems attracted to James. Otto is German, and he and his father are on the dock seeing off Otto’s mother. It’s 1939, and what will become World War II is just starting in earnest. Otto makes his father buy the mussels from James, and before he knows it, James and his sister Bella are employed by Otto’s father to take care of their home. Otto and James soon become more than friends and are committed to finding a way to be together. As if their relationship weren’t dangerous enough, the two young men do what they can to help refugees from Nazi Germany. It’s a course of action that could get the two killed.

Griffins and their riders mate for life, so when the pair are discovered, they’re both sent to the training academy and then posted to the frontier fort of Farfall. Neither are really accepted by the troops, who see Andon as beneath them and are suspicious of a wild-born griffin. Andon’s only friend is killed when he and his entire wing are attached by the viscous wiverns. Daren and his four wing members are sent from a neighboring fort to reinforce Farfall. Daren quickly becomes fascinated by Andon, and when he witnesses the bad treatment the weapons officer is subject to, he becomes protective.

#SciFi #MMRomanceAmbrose wakes up on board his ship, and is told by the craft’s AI that he was injured during the launch and has been in a coma. He remembers all his training for this special mission to rescue his sister, who was sent to see if Saturn’s moon Titan could be colonized, but he doesn’t remember getting on board the ship or the accident that apparently injured him. There’s something else that’s concerning: Ambrose’s ship has been joined to another craft, that of his country’s primary competitor, and that ship is occupied by another spacefarer, Kodiak. Kip is quite surprised when one of his professors has been replaced by a man he knows as police detective Baxter Griffin, using a different name. Griffin is working undercover, trying to gather evidence on another professor that may be dealing drugs. When that teacher is murdered in front of Kip, it puts the young man in danger, so Griffin is determined to keep him safe. The problem is, Griffin turns out to be just the kind of dominant Kip needs.
