Oestend is about as far from the university in the capital as you can get. And, it turns out wraiths are real. If you go out at night, or even leave a window open, they will get to you and kill you. Deacon is the ranch foreman, and he keeps it running with an iron fist, if necessary. Although sometimes put off by Deacon’s harsh treatment of the men, Aren is still drawn to the dark and powerful man. The two become friends, and Aren is saddened to learn that he’s Deacon’s only friend, since he’s the only one on the ranch who isn’t a hired hand or one of the owner’s family. Aren is the only one Deacon doesn’t have to be strong around.

Amory has never been able to please his father. When his older brother catches Amory kissing his best friend Tristan, things can only get worse, but Amory is surprised when his father informs him he will be coming with him to the palace the next day. Surprise turns to shock when Amory’s father makes a startling proposal to the prince. Crown Prince Philip is almost as shocked as Amory at his father’s despicable suggestion. It took too long for Kevin to figure out he needed to be with a man who knew how to take control. He's not the young twink he sees submissives depicted as in the kinky stories he reads. Even if they were mostly fantasy, those books gave him a glimpse of what life could be like with the right dominant but also seemed to put it further out of reach.
Being a clinical psychologist in a big hospital keeps Theo busy. He's definitely drawn to men who are able to submit and give him complete control over their pleasure. Theo loves exploring the world of dominance and submission, but he doesn't see a full-time submissive in his future. He doesn't have the time to look after someone who needs that much attention.

Kip is taking a heavy load of classes during the summer session, trying to make up for several failed exams the previous term, when he almost fell into the clutches of a human trafficking ring. It’s hard, since the young man lacks discipline. His biggest wish is to find a Dom that will keep him in line, but his track record with men is pretty dismal. Kip is quite surprised when one of his professors has been replaced by a man he knows as police detective Baxter Griffin, using a different name. Griffin is working undercover, trying to gather evidence on another professor that may be dealing drugs. When that teacher is murdered in front of Kip, it puts the young man in danger, so Griffin is determined to keep him safe. The problem is, Griffin turns out to be just the kind of dominant Kip needs.

Mia: I trust little B with my life and deepest, darkest secrets. His new beau Justin... Hmm... I like him. He's hotter than Hades, and a perfect mix of bratty and submissive. And those big hearts in his eyes for Seb, that he thinks he hides so well. They give me all the feels.
