Empaths are sponges and until we learn that we can either build boundaries to not absorb what we don't want, yet, OR we come to know that EVERYTHING works FOR our good, either to grow us or glow us like a slow burn candle… well then, we may FEEL too much (too much emotions), or react inappropriately and turn others off. And when we turn others off, it may take us YEARS (if ever), to reestablish those relationships--whether friend or family, such as when adult children cut off their parents […]

  3. Deconstructed Heidelberg

If your experience of living in / near Heidelberg was a texture or a sound, what would it be?
Join an artistic research workshop exploring the intersection of our subjective experiences and the city spaces we inhabit. Through a series of guided sketching activities, we will step away from traditional geography to map the affective textures, invisible barriers and unknown spaces that shape our daily routines.
No prior experience in drawing or painting is necessary. Together, we will transform personal sensory responses into visual language, culminating in a shared, collaborative map of the Heidelberg area.

Your participation contributes to artistic research. Financial contributions compensate the artist's time and are strictly optional.

    Registration: deconstructedtales.de/workshop…
The number of participants is limited to ensure the quality of discussion. Please register to secure your spot.

    About the artist
The workshop is facilitated by Alina Strelkovskaia, the artist behind Deconstructed Tales. Drawing on a background in contemporary art and sociology, her practice examines how we navigate, perceive and construct meaning within urban environments. Her workshops offer an analytical yet deeply creative space to reflect on the systems, histories and cultural codes we encounter in daily life.

    Date: 31st May 2026

    Time: 13:00

Location: Murx space - Oberbadgasse 6, Heidelberg Altstadt, Germany

Public transport: Rathaus/Bergbahn, Heidelberg oder Alte Brücke, Heidelberg

  5. #Weltschildkrötentag #worldturtleday #sketching #wildlife #art

Time to remember the turtle I helped to cross the long long lonesome road in Southafrica for not to be hit by a car. Live long and peacefully!

  7. Went out urban sketching today. That was fun! I seem to slowly get an idea of the supplies I need. I only used one of my six brushes, for example.

  8. A rather ugly sketch of some apricots. But sketching for 5min is better than not sketching at all, I guess.
