A small action of honor. I folded the white cranes, and the blue ones are from a friend from Japan. Supposed to look like the number 81. 🤍🩵

This one's "Ball" from "Origami 2" by Robert Harbin (1971).
It would be a dodecahedron if you joined up all the vertices.

More Daffodils folded earlier this year following OrigamiAround's method, and Kawasaki Roses that I just made.
I found out that surgical masks often contain a wire. I've collected lots of them over the past few years... They can be used as reinforcements to the fragile paper stems. So I don't have to buy wires. And I used a twig that I randomly picked up...
The rest is A4 paper painted with watercolour.

#Origami rose, design by Naomiki Sato. The blossom and sepals are folded from pentagonal bases, which I find pleasing to work with and produces a reasonably naturalistic look. I'm finally pretty happy with the proportions.
I used 90 g/m^2 colored paper, "Recollections" brand.

Better late than never!
I do a bunch of stuff often via #blog posts from my site https://stackofgoats.studio since I like to have an independent #personalwebsite. I post about:
- #ttrpg #rpg game content
- #worldbuilding
- #art #drawing #illustration
- #origami
- #zines
- #books (usually short reviews)
- #writing, usually #scifi
- #gamedev for my #indiegame on #playdate
- #software related to #privacy -

Our thanks to the talented dinosaur fan who handed us a wonderful origami dinosaur during our time at #DinoCon.
Hopefully, we continue to inspire the next generation of palaeoartists.

Here's "Jackstone" from "Origami 2" (1971) by Robert Harbin.
I prefer geometric origami and this is my favourite.
Technically I think it's a stellated cube.

I have some historic Origami books that I get out now and then for a bit of folding entertainment. Here's "Tri-star" from Origami 4 (1977) by Robert Harbin.
