June 3, between Cuba and Ghost Ranch. I wish I could have got a photo of the long-eared jackrabbits I saw, but they were too skittish. Regular rabbits, on the other hand, are a common sight in northern New Mexico.

Wasn't able to post a #wipwednesday yesterday since I wasn't feeling well, but this is what I'm currently working on! I plan to do OC-Tober again this year by drawing lore scenes and character interactions from Legacy of a Star!

Sketchtober Day 1 - Werewolf
Today, I drew a werewolf in the new sketchbook, and Fulgari was just a perfect fit for the role!

Before I created Kyoko and my older fursonas.
I sorta already made one of my first transgender characters. Kinda of a Prototype of ideas I'll return to eventually.
Tho, the thing is that she's a trans kid, and a bully, before her realization she was a meany to her classmates, of course she's being like that because of the hard childhoods she's having. She eventually grows, accept herself and stop bullying other people.
I haven't, do that much because she was mean to be like a secondary character from an old history I since then ditched because, despite of the progressive stuff, it was an over the top "edgy" thing because it was an idea that started when I was an edgy teen, now days I would write different.
But that character is somewhere on that history. I don't know if I was diving into the stereotypes, but I may rescue some ideas from this that will make more sense and hopefully be less stereotyped.
Anyway, decided to re-draw to see how she would look in my modern style.

I'm going to challenge myself to post a sketch each day this month. Starting with the California poppy, which is very dear to my heart. This one's going on my links page to decorate the Nature section.
Poppy info at Calflora: https://www.calflora.org/app/taxon?crn=3512
