Lemon and blueberry/raspberry ice creams!
I've made lemon Italian ice/sorbet many times but this is my first true citrus ice cream. #cooking
Also, I've clearly leveled up my #inkscape product #design skills (to level 0.4, but still)
Some educational videos, but the most helpful was tracing some real product packages to understand them in detail. Don't think in terms of items to add to a blank canvas. Think general to specific.

Little surprise in #Inkscape : the default resolution is 600 dpi... except when you're rasterizing path effects, which stay at a measly 96 dpi and look super ugly in exported PDF files.
Can be easily changed, but has to be changed each time you export because somehow the export options don't stay if you close Inkscape.

Using #Inkscape for the first time in years to #design a #penguin #logo (a reference to Linux mascot) for my personal #blog made me remember when I used to cut animal shapes out of cardboard for my children.
It still makes me smile how unconditionally they loved those simple shapes, coloring them as soon as I finished a new one. I guess shapes were important because I made them.
I wonder if they would have considered this one bulky. Beak is too long, at least. #WIP

This evening I can tidy up the #inkscape source files and upload them somewhere so you can tweak them or add your own copy or whatever.

C'est cette semaine que se tiendra le Faire Festival à Toulouse ! On vous attend de ce jeudi 28 au samedi 31 mai pour faire ensemble sur tout un tas de parcours différents : textile, plastique, faire école, etc...
En ce qui me concerne je tournerai beaucoup autour du parcours des communs numériques, qui accueille cette année un hackathon pour booster LaserMagic, plugin Inkscape développé par @madsquirrel

I need a fuctional diagram of the workings of our lasercutter for a presentation. So tried the assistant of @kagihq (taday totally chilling for them ;-) ), which gave me a really good concept for an educational poster. Including style hints like to make the laser tube glow a bit orange and make the invisible beam visible. Then (after asking) it gave me a prompt for an AI image generator. I chose Googles Nanobanana.
This is the result. It looks nice but if you know anything about a laser cutter or even mechanics you see that this is very fine looking 💩
So I'll fire up #freeCAD for the model and try my very best in #inkscape to make the image.
