I finally made the switch away from my clanky little Arch Linux installation over to ElementaryOS. I'll be honest, it isn't exactly the most intuitive switch for *my brain*, but I think that the approach is correct. Elementary acts like a *normal desktop*. It's got a suite of built in software that all integrates really well into the desktop.
You have an Online Accounts app that lets you connect your Gmail, for instance, and it will immediately import that into the email app, as well as grabbing your calendar into the calendar app and toolbar widget. It also imports your todo list into the Tasks app, and your contacts into the Contacts app.
This kind of functionality, in my opinion, has been one of the biggest failures of Linux desktops so far, and Elementary is nailing it. Not without issues, but the approach is correct.
Many Linux proponents will hyperfocus on the "UNIX philosophy" of modularity in apps, and thus totally neglect to consider a larger system going on, where apps all share information with some particular common source (like an account manager). This is really no different than relying on a system having an up-to-date Python interpreter or various system libraries.

CERN is dropping #RHELL for #Debian. All 2200+ systems by the end of the year.
The reason being is that the "-march=x86-64-v2" compiler flag default as "forced obsolescence" for old hardware.
It's not without headaches, mostly due to "the lack of standard tooling for automated building and publishing of packages - a lot of gaps in the official tooling. There are also a number of tools not supporting multiple versions of the same packages."

Our poultry house has been fully completed today.
The next step is to introduce some birds (layers) that will help strengthen our programs in the communities.
However, we hope to widen all our work after getting the land that we are raising for currently,hopefully we shall be able to make it by end of this year.

Gerade beim Einrichten eines KI-Servers mit Debian 13... Und erstmal aufgehalten, den Nvidia-Treiber in mehreren Anläufen zu installieren. Klasskier.
Manche Dinge ändern sich einfach nie :)Trotzdem finde ich Debian Weltklasse, vor allem als Server-System.
