I think I've settled on KDE Neon Mobile for my HP hybrid tablet/laptop thing. The device has a Wacom digitizer built in to the display and it comes with a nice pen for drawing and annotating, and that OS is one of the very few that works perfectly with the feature.

Only I don't think it's "my" tablet anymore. Last night testing it out with Krita, and my girlfriend saw me doodling. She paused the TV show she was watching and literally took it from my hands and started drawing, with a few hints from me for the tools and brushes since she'd never used Krita before. An hour later and she had drawn a cute little coloring book style scene, and finally handed it back to me at nearly midnight.

So anyway, KDE Neon Mobile is probably going to stay on there whether I like it or not (and I do like it!).

Wenn ich Bluetooth über das entsprechende Plasma-Widget ausschalte, ist es nach dem nächsten Systemstart wieder an.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Default für Bluetooth auf "aus" zu setzen, ohne die Möglichkeit zu verlieren, es über die Kontrollleiste ein- und auszuschalten?

If you want to connect Linux to an Android phone, I recommend KDE connect. It’s an open source app that have lots of useful features : crossed copy paste and files, controlling one device with the other, sending and reading texts from the computer, etc.

Playing arround with #kde. It feels a bit strange, but I get the appeal. I am not sure, if I will be my main wm.
But I just want to get to know it more.
So any tips for great apps or tweaks are moren then welcome.

I mean....opensuse... Yast has always been a freaking weird thing that I disliked for more than 20 years, but this is just dumb...

Ohhh just noticed something weird in kde. Some buttons dance around. Not sure if it's a new release feature :KEKW:

The external screen even got proper resolution and zoom properly working automatically with reasonable defaults.

Mouse size looks good, menus too, dragging dolphin window also has good size with clean proper font rendering. God I love wayland.

External screen detected and working at: 3840x2160 (16:9), scale 170%, refresh rate 160Hz. (All through a single usb4 cable to a dock)

Ich verstehe moderne Hypes aus Nerd-Kreisen manchmal nicht. Heute: Der Terminalemulator #kitty. Soll total cool sein und viel besser als #KDE Konsole. Und vor allem schnell (war mein Terminal jemals langsam?).

Ich installiere es. Starte es. Verkleinere das Fenster. Dauert 2 Sekunden, danach bricht die Schrift um, Shell-Prompt geht kaputt. Mach wieder größer, immer noch kaputt. Ich deinstalliere es wieder.

I gotta help another old laptop begging to be upgraded to Linux from Windows. The user is not TUI literate and would prefer GUI based interactions. It is a hybrid graphics setup, Intel + AMD.

Yes!

I recently described KDE Plasma to a friend as "Apple, if their designs had kept improving".

It was strange to admit to myself. For so many years Linux desktops - to me - were about compromise to attain freedom.

Now - to me - it's just that no lesser OS has as nice of a set of tools.
