re the #1password shit.. I'm wondering how they know its #Omarchy specifically and not arch or cachy or some other one. I install it from AUR on Cachy. Guessing they send back a
uname.. bummer.I think if you wanna kill Omarchy, just get a nicer skin to use with #Archlinux or #cachyos ?

Llevaba un rato intentando recuperar un portátil HP de 2019 con 4 GB de RAM. Probé primero con xfce pero la opción más ligera, muy usable y con una apariencia más que aceptable es sin duda CachyOS con escritorio lxqt.
Con firefox en primer arranque, simultaneando la edición de un documento en OnlyOffice y ejecutado el monitor del sistema consume 2GB de ram, lo que no está nada mal para un uso básico.
El escritorio base consume unos 800 MB.

No dire ni una semana con #OmarchyOS, no es que no me guste, porque la verdad me gusta el tema de personalización y estilo de esta grandiosa distro, el problema es que no iguala en rendimiento ni en estabilidad a mi clásico #SoplosLinux y/o #Void.
Después de tanto tiempo usando #CachyOS ahora recuerdo porque deje arch en primer lugar.
No se que piensan ustedes pero después de probar Cachy por casi 1 año eso de que es mejor en rendimiento no me lo estoy creyendo y tampoco la supuesta personalización y todo eso que dicen de arch, literalmente puedo hacer lo mismo con cualquier distro en debian sin necesidad de que parezca que estoy instalando una papa cruda.
De pronto es porque soy muy novato? o el problema esta entre la silla y la pantalla?

Well, well, wellywell!
An update on saving my data from a #lacier HDD to a #ugreen Thunderbolt 3/4 M2 SSD.
What a journey this was. Kind of nerve-wracking.
But I managed it in the end. Thanks to #cachyos #linux!
And a cheap 2TB USB SSD from a colleague.
The data is secure. But the next step was to find out whether I could use the 5TB HDD again.
I needed to learn how to format drives within Linux, because both of my Macs refused to access the drive at all.
I managed; now it's a PS5 drive:D

@darkpixel I'd note that Noctalia and DMS are frameworks built on top of Quickshell. You could use Quickshell and build it up yourself but the experience would be very much different from using the other two which offer cohesive desktop experiences.
As a CachyOS/Hyprland/Noctalia user with a generalized workflow that includes some gaming I'm very much a fan of it and have been content since I switched to using the shell in January. For me that's pretty long time for me to stick with something and I still have no intention on switching away.
No personal experience with DMS but I've heard positive things about it.
