If you're new to #Linux it certainly *IS* a good idea to go and try different things.

#Batocera is a *very* specific project. Without knowing your actual intended use case, my intuition is that is likely not the right fit, since you're mentioning Steam and Geforce Now.

What I haven't managed to work yet is Nvidia GeForce Now. Steam is up and running ...

I finally cracked it! Not ideal, but it's working. For more than a month on #CachyOS #Linux (RDNA3), Doom Eternal just froze on me after some time when I tried running it with #OptiScaler's #Vulkan #FSR4 hack. I thought I tried literally everything, but apparently you just have to disable ray tracing. Screenshots are showing the game running with (before it freezes) and without RT (not freezing).

Weil eben auf den Servern sowieso debian läuft und eins sich mit apt und co. doch einfacher tut.
Und weil Glasfaser eben auch kein Schmerz mehr, alles inklusive der steam Bibliothek neu aus dem Netz zu ziehen.

I think it's time put #Fedora44 on my laptop, again. #CachyOS was amazing but since #nobara runs so smoothly it could be wise to stay on familiar grounds with both machines

Also ich würde an deiner Stelle gar keine K.I.-Software nutzen wollen, sondern sie aus bestimmten Gründen boykottieren und versuche es doch mal mit den Open Source Apps von Fossify, was der "Nachfolger" von den Simple Mobile Tools ist. Diese Apps verwende ich unter einem freien Android (iodéOS).

Thank you, #CDProjectRed! It took an army of #Linux geniuses and one button masher (me) to finally make #Cyberpunk2077 look good on a non-Nvidia, RDNA 3 GPU. I just realised that for the entire time, NTSYNC in Proton-CachyOS wasn't enabled. And when I did enable it, the game turned into a quality upscaled 60+ FPS kind-of-ray-traced symphony @ 1440p. No Optiscaler, no spoofing. Download. Pre-set two environment variables. Play.
