After much testing, if you use the OpenRouter translation engine in the Polyglot #nvda addon, the best model to use is inception/mercury-2. It offers the best speed (usually returns within 1.5 seconds compared to 8 or 9 for Gemini or local models) at the lowest cost, while remaining better than the offline translation modules available via the chrome provider. It's even slightly better than the online google translate API. The only place it struggles is with Japanese pronouns. In a game it's translated the same string variously as "We have 1500 pieces of experience", "You have 1500 pieces of experience", "I have 1500 pieces of experience", and for some reason "The pieces of experience are 1500." It also once translated the number 87 as 52...for...AI reasons. The number 87 was written in regular English characters in the Japanese text. It just decided to replace it with 52 in the English translation because all AI is deeply weird. But it's fine for playing Japanese and Chinese audiogames/rpgs. #nvdasr -

I think I'm the only soul on Earth having this particular issue with #JAWSForWindows2026, and it's maddening.
Even if the window is maximized, if I have a multi-prompt chat with #ChatGPT in #GoogleChrome or #MicrosoftEdge, go to the bottom of the page, and then use Shift+H to move backward by heading to the most recent response, JAWS just will not read it properly.
It'll read the first few words of the most recent prompt or response and then suddenly jump several prompts back in the conversation. How do I even explain this one to the #Vispero folks? @[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

@mckensie Oh man, I love Phineas and Ferb. I've seen a few episodes, they're hilarious. And you know what's even better, the Doofenshmirtz's schemes are just so ridiculous. I can totally see it, a universal screen reader that fails, that's genius. And I love the idea of the Double Talk voice being the one to defeat it. I mean, Perry the Platypus is just too cool, but the Double Talk voice is just so annoying, it would be perfect. I'm curious, how did @mcourcel come up with this idea? And by the way, I've heard of Pocket TTS, it's a great plugin for NVDA, I use it all the time. #PhineasAndFerb #NVDA #ScreenReaders

@bitwarden i want an explination!
i have an on prem vaultwarden server, or bitwarden rs.
now, i also use it, in edition to storing passwords, p[asskeys!
and i was able to do that, untill now.
i use the NVDA screen reader, and chrome!
it was just showing a blank screen after typing in my master password, fully authenticated!
and no, this is not an isolated incedent. i tried this with firefox and narrator, all of them had the same problems.
when i tried again, it wouldn't load at all!
there is nothing wrong with the server, it is working correctly. i can access my main password manager, i annot access my passkeys!

And it does exactly that, if you have a backup folder that you've backed up with the Apple iTunes app on windows or finder on Mac, you can open that folder, and it will extract all the contents within it. This app is not a backup tool. You'll have to back up first before coming to this app. Once you install it, you'll be able to run the app by clicking on it on the desktop and you can click launch after installation. Once everything is extracted, it gets stored under iTunes backup extractor output located under documents. Everything from your sandbox apps, videos, Voice Memos, all your app data, basically anything that is included in an iTunes backup is there. While we have tools like iMazing, it's not as accessible on Windows with #NVDA, although it's slightly better with JAWS but I heard it's better on the Mac. It's the most accessible thing we have now for backup extraction, this app goes well with that. Please boost for those that are interested. Every control speaks its value. Real metres, not percentages. Zero
degrees means facing the source in all 190 rooms. No custom plugin
window, deliberately — a drawn interface would look better and work
worse.

@freedomscientific It would be incredibly helpful if #jaws receives the same support on the #BrailleNoteEvolve as #NVDA. What I mean Is that all keystrokes work the same, regardless of which screen reader the user chooses to use.

Where's my Fonemophone-4 NVDA addon? All you'd have to do is emulate an Elektronika-60; hardware emulation is already being done for Dectalk and Speech Proes and Keynote Gold, so this is a solved problem, right?
