Last year it was in Amsterdam, this year - in Prague! 🏰

I'm happy to share that I will once again be representing Vestas at this year's Open Source Summit/Embedded Linux Conference/Zephyr Developer Summit in Prague, Czechia.
I will be giving a presentation titled "Fake Drivers: A Practical Guide to Zephyr Test Doubles" on the @zephyr maintainers track, and I am really looking forward to reconnecting with the rest of the Zephyr community in Prague! Full schedule available here: https://lnkd.in/ezRBgFUu

Excited that my joint session with my awesome manager Maureen Helm was accepted for #OSSummit Europe in Prague.
We'll be presenting on Analog Device's work to bring IIO (Industrial I/O) support to @zephyr
Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones and chatting #embedded, #zephyr, and (of course) #keyboards

✈️ Dropped my CFP for Open Source Summit Prague from 35,000 feet en route to UN Open Source Week! 🇺🇳
My talk, "State of the OSS Union," strips the noise from the CRA and the new Cloud & AI Development Act (CADA). It’s a practical blueprint to audit production stacks, calculate SEAL scores, and kill vendor lock-in.
Let's discuss digital sovereignty and the public commons this week at the UN! ☕️

Watch PSF PyPI Safety & Security Engineer @miketheman's talk from Open Source Summit NA 2026: Trusted Publishing uses OIDC to generate short-lived tokens from CI/CD. No passwords. No tokens to rotate. No secrets in repos.

Greg KH: I'm going to talk about code. Stuff that actually works and is deterministic.

#Valkey you should be able to get better performance than that caching for major DBs. 43% less overhead isn't that good. I could do better.
Back in the day, with original Redis, we used to be able to serve 10X as many users with a good PG-and-Redis architecture.

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of joining nearly 2000 of my open source colleagues at the Open Source Summit North America in Minneapolis.
There was a lot of AI, I got to geek out about architectures, and connect with a bunch of friends and colleagues who I hadn't seen in a few years. Great event.
I wrote about it here: https://princessleia.com/journal/2026/06/open-source-summit-2026/ #ossummit

Finally home. Seven speaking spots across seven days, three conferences in two states, many miles apart.
Now some rest.

The Great @landley is doing a talk on building the smallest possible Linux system and demonstrating using QEMU to run a build.
And guess what architecture he's using? 😁😁
You know.

The announcement of Azure Linux VM images from Microsoft yesterday during the keynotes was quite the surprise, but I was pleased to learn that @sjvn had done the legwork to get details and write up a whole article about it: https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-releases-its-first-server-linux-distribution-azure-linux-4-0/
And I was even more pleased to get to catch up with Stephen for a few minutes this morning 😄 #OSSummit

Sitting in the audience at conferences creates an asymmetric intellectual stimulation that leads me to silly places #OSSummit

Always love to see s390x support mentioned on a slide.
(This wasn't a surprise though, ContextForge was on-boarded to our GitHub Actions service back in March) #OSSummit

“I want to empower users to fix their own issues [by using AI agents]. That’s how you get contributors coming back.” Love this point from Red Hat’s Kevin Hannon, applied to a real Kubernetes metric issue. #OSSummit
