update on the 500mb #vector package: i think it's this open issue about vendoring openssl, because vector does by default, and the package definition doesn't disable it.

so that's an issue i need to file upstream i guess?

Illustrator's gradient meshes for me are boring. Once you understand the principle, it's just a never ending task of setting mesh points and coloring them. That's one of the reasons I do not create a lot of meshes. It just takes a lot of time and I'm not discovering an awful lot of interesting things while doing so. #nixos saga update: it's working you guys. #vector is now pushing journald logs to #clickhouse and it feels so gooooooood

except for how it's bringing in the entire gcc toolchain

but it's fine it's fine, nobody cares, 3gb gha caches are normal right

ToothPaste (Paste SVGs) v1.1.6 is here and it brings some polish and new functionality to the plugin.

Here's - quick overview:
👉 File > Import and drag-n-drop now opens a dialog with the same features as pasting
👉 Images and text now appear more accurately
👉 [New] Selecting GP strokes that correspond to a GP layer

Finished a study of Kandinsky's "Composition VIII" yesterday. Very interesting to spend time with this complex piece, a long-time favorite with me. Original painted back in 1923, this one reproduced using #Affinity Designer, #vector only.
