August 2026 security patch is live for Galaxy A23 5G and A04e

Samsung have revealed what vulnerabilities the August 2026 security patch has fixed earlier, as you can see here. This kind of update ensures that your phone, your tablet, and other devices become more secure as updates come along. Those updates are rolled out staggered, depending on your region and your device model. For instance, while the Galaxy S26 gets monthly updates, the Galaxy Tab S11 gets quarterly security updates.

Samsung has started rolling out the August 2026 security patch to the Galaxy A23 5G and A04e phones, as part of the monthly security update rollout, starting from Korea. You can see the below details of the update for more info (Source).

This security patch brings the August 5th, 2026 security patch. This contains all fixes to vulnerabilities discovered since the last security patch released for this phone series.

The following firmware information is found:

• SM-A236E: A236EXXSGEZH4 [GLB, THL, XID, …]
• SM-A042F: A042FXXSHEZH2/A042FXXSHEZH1 [KSA, GLB, THL, …]

To update your Galaxy to this security update, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings, and navigate to System Update
2. Tap on Check for Updates
3. Press Download Now
4. Wait until the download is complete, then press Install Now
5. Wait until the phone installs the update successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 5 to 10 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

If you’re seeing “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update hasn’t reached your device yet. Keep checking for updates, as Samsung rolls it out gradually to all devices from country to country, usually starting from Korea.

Habe die gleichen Bedenken, aber unsere Bedenken müssen nicht unbedingt wahr werden 🙂

Schlimmstenfalls wird der #ÖPNV ausgedünnt und ein Dienst eingerichtet, der nur mit einem #Smartphone funktioniert und die Daten mit US-Unternehmen teilt, wie der glücklicherweise eingestellte #BerlKönig bzw. #Muva.

Wenn der Dienst kostenlos wäre, könnte man ihn spontan nutzen ohne erst einen #Fahrschein kaufen zu müssen, der vermutlich im #Fahrzeug selbst nicht erworben werden kann.

Allerdings halte ich das ganze Projekt für ein Fehlallokation von Mitteln. Wichtiger wäre es, sich ganz auf den #Wiederaufbau der #Straßenbahn #Tram zu konzentrieren. Von einst 600 km Netz in #Berlin fehlen noch fast 400 km!

Sehr sehr viel Rechenleistung könnte man sich sparen wenn man Daten kleiner bekommen könnte.

Warum um Himmelswillen muss eine #outlook Email mit dem Text "Hallo Du da" fast 2 MB groß sein?

50kb tuts da auch.

Wenn ich Webseiten aufrufe, selbst auf dem #Smartphone, werden zig Bilder mit > 2MB geladen.

Ich möchte diese Bilder doch nicht ausdrucken

Deutschland wird zwar digital Souveräner, aber Du wirst es nicht.

Es wird darauf hinauslaufen das die Endgeräte wie z.B. ein #Smartphone mehr zu #ThinClients werden.

Dann geht nichts mehr ohne #cloud

Und wenn Du dann Bilder vom #Smartphone speichern möchtest, dann darfst Du dafür ein monatliches #Abo bezahlen.

Und ein Abo hier und noch ein weiteres Abo da.....

Dabei sind diese Rechenzentren gar nicht nötig.

One UI 9.0 Beta 7 is now live for the Galaxy S26!

The One UI 9.0 beta program started for users with the Galaxy S26 series devices in eligible countries. It provided several features, such as the Masking Tape feature in Samsung Notes and the enhanced quick panel that allows you to take it to the next level in your style with even more customization options.

Starting from today, One UI 9.0 Beta 7 is now available for those who have already joined the beta program with the Galaxy S26 in the above countries mentioned. The seventh beta version of One UI 9.0 is now available to fix some bugs and to incorporate general improvements across the whole operating system based on user feedback and internal evaluation, according to Tarun Vats.

One UI 9.0 Beta 7 is available under build ZZHK, with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra devices that joined the beta program receiving it. The following changes were made:

• Bugs that have been fixed
  • Added new Al features
  • Improved intermittent device rebooting in specific situations
  • Improved usability of ‘Do not disturb’ mode

We encourage you to please report all bugs found to the Beta program community so that Samsung will analyze your feedback and implement fixes and/or improvements based on them.

To update your Galaxy S26 to One UI 9.0 Beta 7, first make sure that you are already in the beta program. Then, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings, and navigate to System Update
2. Tap on Check for Updates
3. Press Download and Install
4. Wait until the download and the installation is complete, then press Reboot Now
5. Wait until the phone reboots successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later.
