  4. I think it's fun seeing more options for wireless headphones and earbuds, especially new open audio for folks who want to hear what's happening around them.
Well, there's open and then there's REALLY OPEN. Jlab opted for the later!

  9. Hey y’all. Asking for a friend here. What headphones do y’all suggest that plug into a computer via USB-A or headphone jack? Needs to have a good mic that sounds good. Looking to spend about $80 max.

  14. Welp, it had to happen eventually. My beloved and once-renovated Sennheiser Presence ( gemini://duncan.bayne.id.au/ge ) finally went to the great e-waste recycling centre in the sky; the microphone is as dead as a doornail.

Now I'm looking for a replacement. My wishlist, in descending order :)

    1. Noise canceling *in the mic* so I can take calls from anywhere and not inconvenience the people on the other end with background noise. This was the Presence's killer feature, and the reason I loved it to bits. I bought it while consulting so I could take client calls from anywhere and still make it a pleasant experience for them. Busy city street? Car with open windows? No problem.

    2. USB *and* Bluetooth. I'd like to use the replacement device on my phone, FreeBSD PC, laptop, etc.

    3. Noise canceling on the speakers. Less important (the Presence didn't have it), but I'm thinking it'd be nice to combine a few devices into one. If I could listen to music on the same headset I make calls with, that'd be grand.

    4. USB-C. The Presence was my last EDC micro-USB device.

I *think* some of the Jabra headsets may qualify, but I can't work out their bloody product matrix, and *particularly* dislike the idea of accidentally buying one of their "MS Teams integrated" models 🤢 I've asked Jabra support to recommend a model; we'll see how that goes.

Anyone got any advice / suggestions?

  23. Bottom line is APM2 seem more comfortable than PX8S2. But the PX8s sound better and the Apple’s have better integration. Need a hybrid between them. #Headphones #AirpodsMax2 #PX8S2

  28. Austrian Audio The Arranger Review

One of our personal favorites, the flagship Composer headphones, just got a new buddy in the shape of the more affordable Arranger.

With a lower price tag and a weightier, smoother sound, is it enough to attract the casual listener?
