As it is no longer safe for my ageing phone's health to use a USB splitter to enable my very nice 3.5mm jack headphones (power short nearly killed it today), I am in need of recommendations for Bluetooth headphones.
They need to be fully enclosed around the ears, not on top of them (my ears are not very big). I am not looking for noise cancelling - I need to hear electric vehicles behind me but I also need the roar of traffic to not deafen me.
I mostly listen to music through them and sound quality is very important to me. I need an inbuilt mic as well for the once-in-a-blue-moon phonecall on the go.
I will not entertain anything that requires an app or an account or a subscription to enable any of its features. Fashtech brands are a hard no.

Technics ger sig på premiumklassen med EAH-A1000, ett par nya trådlösa over-ear-hörlurar som ska utmana etablerade modeller från bland andra Sony och Bose.
Den stora tekniska nyheten sitter i de nyutvecklade 40 mm-elementen. Här använder Technics magnetisk vätska, en teknik som tillverkaren hämtat från sina högtalare. Vätskan ska ge bättre kontroll över membranet och samtidigt minska distorsionen.
EAH-A1000 har adaptiv aktiv brusreducering och stöd för LDAC. Det går även att lyssna förlustfritt via usb-c, medan Dolby Atmos med huvudspårning ska ge en mer omslutande ljudbild med kompatibelt innehåll. Hörlurarna kan vara anslutna till tre enheter samtidigt via multipoint och batteritiden anges till upp till 45 timmar.
