  1. Samsung releases the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy A55 and A54 series

Samsung have released the May 2026 security patch for the majority of Galaxy users worldwide. As per their rollout schedule for security updates, Samsung have released the patch to the Galaxy A55 and the A54 users, built on top of One UI 8.0.

This security update was released before the rollout of One UI 8.5 for those devices starts. This makes sure that you’ll have a flawless experience of installing One UI 8.5 once it gets rolled out to your device.

The following firmware information is found:

    • SM-A556E: A556EXXSECZDE [INS]
    • SM-A556B: A556BXXSECZDE [EUX]
    • SM-A546E: A546EXXSJEZE5 [INS, NPB]

To update your Galaxy to this security update, follow these steps:

    1. Open Settings, and navigate to System Update
    2. Tap on Check for Updates
    3. Press Download and Install
    4. Wait until the download and the installation is complete, then press Reboot Now
    5. Wait until the phone reboots successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 5 to 10 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

If you’re seeing “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update hasn’t reached your device yet. Keep checking for updates, as Samsung rolls it out gradually to all devices from country to country, usually starting from Korea.

  5. Sztuka Marii Prymaczenko w Samsung Art Store. Ukraińska wizjonerka na ekranach The Frame

Samsung kontynuuje rozbudowę swojej cyfrowej galerii Samsung Art Store, kładąc coraz większy nacisk na twórców z Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej.

Do biblioteki trafiło właśnie 12 dzieł Marii Prymaczenko – jednej z najważniejszych ukraińskich malarek, której surrealistyczny styl doceniał sam Pablo Picasso.

To kolejna po pracach Tamary Łempickiej (m.in. „Autoportret w zielonym Bugatti”) istotna kolekcja z naszego regionu, która zyskuje globalną widownię dzięki platformie Samsunga.

    Technologia w służbie płótna

Telewizory Samsung wykorzystują system Samsung Vision AI, który automatycznie optymalizuje jakość wyświetlanego obrazu, dostosowując go do warunków oświetleniowych w pomieszczeniu.

To najprostszy sposób, by wpuścić do salonu trochę światowej klasy sztuki bez konieczności wizyty w muzeum.

  23. Times of India | India's smartphone market is going ‘premium,’ but not entirely by choice

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

India's smartphone market grew 5.8% in value in Q1 2026 despite a 4.1% drop in shipments, as the average selling price hit a record $302, driven largely by a collapse of phones under $100, which fell 59% year‑on‑year due to soaring DRAM and NAND costs that pushed memory to up to 20% of a low‑end phone’s bill of materials. This forced many budget models out of the market, pushing buyers into the $100‑200 segment, which absorbed the displaced demand and grew 10% to 45% of shipments. While premium bands ($400‑$800) also expanded, the overall “up‑market” narrative is partly a supply‑side effect rather than pure consumer choice. Brands felt the squeeze unevenly: OPPO, Motorola and Samsung held or gained share, whereas low‑cost players such as realme, Poco, iQOO and OnePlus saw steep declines, limited by rising component prices that curtailed aggressive discounting and online flash‑sale tactics. The memory shortage, driven by AI server demand, is expected to persist into 2027, likely keeping smartphone prices elevated across all segments.
