One UI 9.0 Watch Beta 5 is now live for the Galaxy Watch8 and Beta 4 for the Watch7!

The One UI 9.0 beta program started for users with the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch7 in Korea and in the US. It provided several features that were introduced in this software update while providing several improvements.

Starting from today, the new One UI 9.0 Watch beta is now available for those who have already joined the beta program with the fifth beta for the Galaxy Watch8 and the fourth beta for the Watch7 in the above countries mentioned.

This beta version of One UI 9.0 Watch is now available to fix some bugs and to incorporate general improvements across the whole operating system based on user feedback and internal evaluation, according to Korean forum posts for the Galaxy Watch8 and the Galaxy Watch7.

One UI 9.0 Watch Beta 5 for the Galaxy Watch8 is available under build ZZJ5 and Beta 4 for the Galaxy Watch7 under build ZZJ5. It’s a beta release designed to bring the following changes:

• Applied stabilization code for device operation
• Fixed installation errors occurring during a forced reboot while a software update is in progress
• Fixed an error with the Watch “Now Bar”
• Fixed an issue where the screen would not switch to the charging display
• Fixed an error in the display of altimeter information

We encourage you to please report all bugs found to the Beta program community so that Samsung will analyze your feedback and implement fixes and/or improvements based on them.

To update your watch to this beta version of One UI 9.0 Watch, first make sure that you are already in the beta program. Then, follow these steps:

1. Open Wearable > Watch Settings, and navigate to System Update
2. Tap on Check for Updates
3. Press Download and Install
4. Wait until the download and the installation is complete, then press Install
5. Wait until the phone reboots successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 10 to 20 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy A56 and A36 is closer to release

One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 will be available for the Galaxy A56 and the A36, which introduces new features and other enhancements to make your phone even more powerful. The Galaxy A56 was released on March 2025 to be a direct successor to the Galaxy A55.

Samsung has begun distribution of One UI 9.0 to Galaxy A56 and A36 users in Korea, which marks the continuation of the rollout of this improved software for the Galaxy A series devices. The distribution itself still didn’t start yet for other countries, but it was expected that Samsung releases the update next week for more countries.

The following firmware information will be:

• SM-A566S: A566SKSUADZJ1 [SKC]
• SM-A366N: A366NKSU9DZIF [KOO]

To install One UI 9.0 once it gets released, navigate to your system settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. If you still see “Your software is up to date”, your phone may not have received the update yet.

One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy A37 is closer to release

One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 will be available for the Galaxy A37, which introduces new features and other enhancements to make your phone even more powerful. The Galaxy A37 was released on March to be a direct successor to the Galaxy A36, which brings a bigger vapor chamber, a more powerful processor, and some more improvements.

Samsung has started distributing One UI 9.0 to Galaxy A37 users, starting from Korea, and it will gradually expand to more countries. This information was spotted by Alfatürk, who provided information about this updates availability. The global rollout is expected to happen next week.

The following firmware information will be:

To install One UI 9.0 once it gets released, navigate to your system settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. If you still see “Your software is up to date”, your phone may not have received the update yet.

Starting from today, One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7/Flip5 phones, which brings an improved experience for your Galaxy phone by introducing new features and other enhancements.

Starting from today, One UI 9.0 begins distribution to Galaxy Z5 users in Korea, which marks the start of the rollout of this improved software, with more eligible devices being expected to receive the stable update during the next few weeks. The global release of One UI 9.0 for this foldable series still didn’t happen.

Please note that the update may not have reached your phone and/or your country yet, so you’ll have to be patient while the update reaches your device. This is the last system update that will be done for this foldable series. No more major updates will be done after that, and you’ll only get security updates. For non-beta users, you may have to wait longer.

Please note that the Galaxy S23 is not eligible for any further system updates, except the security ones.
