  1. Tonight Naarm turned it out.

Yesterday Melbourne had a massive storm. This image was from the sunset the day beforehand. No edit. I can feel the power of the universe in this image.

Recently I went on a trip with Out Doors Inc (if you're on the NDIS here in Victoria and crave the outdoors this group is well worth looking up).

We went on a short walk through the Dementia friendly forest and sensory trail near Ballarat on the lands of the Wadawurrung people.

On Wednesday I went to Snake Valley (on the lands of the Wadawurrung) with Out Doors Inc for an overnight adventure.

We did a couple of small stops. On Thursday we were meant to do a longer walk but the van got bogged for an hour in 4wd country thanks to Google maps taking us the "quickest" way. We did not end up doing the walk. Fortunately it only rained on us a bit and we managed to push the van back out & "get outta dodge" (as the saying goes).

On Wednesday my support worker & I ventured to Queenscliff. I've been there a few times but not enough apparently to figure out where West is, so did not get the heavenly Sunset in my images, but I am happy with the images I took.

Image description: White painted wood beams of a Pier have orange lichen growing on them. The pier creates a leading line into the distance where two humans wearing black are walking and beyond them is an orange hut. Moody blue golden hour clouds hang above the scene.

A few nights ago, after sunset, the sky was on fire and I loved every minute of it.

This week's instalment is from Kingston Park on Kaurna country. I was there this week with family at the caravan park to scatter our ma's ashes on the beach.

We watched as she was washed out to sea. It was a sad occasion, we all had a cry, but it was cathartic to send her off on her final voyage as per her wishes.

Us siblings wear a pendant with some ashes inside, so she comes with us everywhere still (she does more exercise now than she was ever accustomed to 😅). Regardless, she is forever in our hearts, loved always.

This is from my Out Doors Inc adventure this week. On Wednesday we travelled to Port Fairy and walked around Griffith Island to the Lighthouse. Such a stunning vista, and the weather was perfect.

  9. Did you know that seaside Victorian town Port Fairy was once named Belfast by settlers.
