Wow, Murena hat mit dem Update auf /e/os/ 4.1.1. mal eben das Backup kaputtgemacht.
Bisherige App ganz leise durch eine andere ersetzt. Statt lokalem Speicher jetzt nur noch Murena-Cloud.
Kein Warnhinweis, dass man die alten Backups nicht mehr aufrufen kann, keine Aufforderung das Backup neu zu konfigurieren.
SO habe ich mir nicht Google-freies Betriebssystem vorgestellt.

So my experience with @murena #eos has not been so great since their 4.11* release. The internet connection broke after installing the release. I think it might be a broken DNS configuration on the device. After disabling automatic DNS and Advanced privacy, I was able to get the WiFi working correctly (for now) by installing #RethinkDNS. Ive also noticed a strange app running that i never noticed before from Qualcomm so maybe there coukd be an issue there as well. #fairphone #fairphone6 #fp6

@murena I'm very disappointed in the last update of e/os which broke WiFi on my #fairphone6 even more disappointing is the support process (or lack thereof) for such issues. A degoogled phone is only as good as the updates provided and the support processes to manage such issues. Talk to #fairphone I've created a support ticket for it. #eos #degoogled

J'ai un Fairphone 4 avec /e/OS 4.1, qui passe la plupart de son temps sur mon bureau sans être utilisé (je dois accumuler au plus 1h de temps d'écran par semaine). Le WiFi, le Bluetooth, les données mobiles, la localisation, le NFC… tout ça est éteint.
Avant d'installer la version 4.1 (ou peut-être la version 4.0), j'avais besoin de recharger la batterie une fois par semaine. Depuis la version 4, j'ai besoin de la recharger tous les 3 jours.
Quelqu'un d'autre a remarqué ce changement dans l'autonomie entre les deux versions majeures d'/e/OS ?

Offenbar verkauft #Fairphone keine Ersatzteile mehr für das #fairphone3 #fp3 irgendwie schade, dass sowas nicht groß vorab kommuniziert wird. Falls doch hab ich das nicht mitbekommen, ein support ende für die software war bekannt. Meh

This kind of stuff is exactly why it's a good thing to have multiple distro choices. I never would have found this if I hadn't been running ArchLinux with a different Kernel version.
Now hopefully everyone can enjoy this.

Ich habe gerade das Display an meinem #Fairphone4 ausgetaudcht. War zwar viel mehr Fummelei als in dem Anleitungsvideo, in dem es zugegebenermaßen auch viel zu simpel aussah, aber es hat geklappt!

I have been avoiding the flashlight on my Fairphone 5, since it seemed pretty bright at max brightness, thereby possibly burning out pretty quickly over extended use.
With Epitaph 1.4.0, I've finally gotten around to fixing that, by changing the flashlight from a button to a slider.

I'm not in my home country.
Wherever i'm moving around, in the same foreign county, the roaming is switching itself off, at some point...It drives me nuts.
Any idea how this could be permanently turned on?

I've setup termux on my fairphone, and after some initial hiccups it works nicely to get access to my server while traveling. Having a sshd to comfortably set up things while at home is pretty cool, too!

@murena I received the latest update today on my #fairphone6 and since then the WiFi connection is really bad. If i try to load a webpage, it takes a long time (if it even loads). Mobile data works fine. Is this a known issue? #fairphone #murena #eos

I wanted to figure out if a dead battery this fast might be covered by warranty. In the confirmation for the extended warranty, they claim that everything will be "very easy" when I bought directly from #Fairphone. "Very easy" involves ten things you are required to try before they even look at your case, one of which is a factory reset, followed by two days without installing apps or restoring my data. wtf. Replacing the battery is 44 bucks and a 1 min repair, but the warranty is a joke, ok.
