  1. About 14 hours left on the discount on my Blender e-book. A good time to get it! #Blender #B3D #Blender3D

  2. CCC Matcher: A free Extension for Colour Chart Matching

Blender has a lot to offer for VFX work - but falls a bit short when it comes to plate preparation and colour matching. This free extension is intended to fill that gap.

  3. Progress on my #Blender to #GodotEngine export pipeline for Impostor Cards is about 75% complete.

Shader progress update: all varying properties are now properly converted from Blender to Godot.

    Still to finish:
    • Pseudo-clipping for projected impostors
    • Normal map correction
    • Vector clamps for atlases
    • Sort out the +Y axis impostor

  4. Decided to split up the container into two units rather than have it be a single 'C'-shaped one. This makes them easier to load/unload, as well as more compact to store on walls, similarly to how the TMP-era cargo containers were.

  9. I wanted to have a TNG-era cargo shuttle, but I was getting nowhere trying to model the Type-9a as it doesn't work very well in 3D without changes. I decided instead to create a variant of the Type-6.

The regular Type-6 has a clear cut separating the forward area, so I imagine these are modular and other modules can be installed in the middle. So here's a (still WIP) cargo module design with detachable container, plus bigger nacelles due to the added mass.

  13. If you have RTX 50* and want to test DLSS 5 leak in the Blender just ping me ;)

Build is a standalone 440MB ZIP.

  14. 🌌 The Chladni geometry nodes simulation system is now up on my Patreon for $5 silver tier members. I'll do a demonstration video soon.

  16. Pixel Art Studio is the 6th bestseller tool on itch today. I wonder what it takes in amount of sales to reach 1st 👀 alfredbaudisch.itch.io/pixel-a

If it reaches 1, I'm going to share some numbers, because I was always curious about these things, and nobody ever shared this.

I'm also waiting for review in the Blender Market.

  18. New version of #HeightSmith. Alexander Klemm requested polar projection not only for the aztec layer, but for other layers too. That is now implemented, please play around with it. This is ... complex ... 😏

    Explanation:
Thirteen of the hard-surface layers can now be wrapped round a centre: rings and sectors instead of a square grid.

    - The switch sits in a new Projection block at the top of the layer card, and only on layers where the result is worth having. A round module wrapped round a centre would only become a crescent, so those do not offer it at all.
    - Centre, disc radius and hub radius place the disc. The hub is not only a look: towards the middle of a disc the cells converge until they are narrower than a pixel, so a blank middle is what keeps the edges from turning to flat grey.
    - Ring density, in three zones, decides how the cells are distributed from hub to rim - square cells everywhere, or a middle deliberately thinned out the way real saucer plating is. Even ring count holds one count over the whole disc instead, which removes the rings a changing count leaves behind and suits a strict lattice such as Hex Grid.
    - The pattern closes where it meets itself going round the disc. The disc as a whole still cannot tile, since it has no periodic edge.
    - The documentation has a new chapter that spells out how Columns, Rows and Ring density combine to decide what you actually get.

The thirteen: Greeble Panels, Window Lights, Circuit Traces, Pipe Runs, Truchet Conduits, Box Scatter, Vent Louvres, City, Hex Grid, Tech Tiles, Bars & Slats, Knurling, Hazard Stripes. Aztec Hull Panels keeps its own, deeper polar mode and is unchanged.

  20. 🌌 I needed a new way to visualize reality in 3D (with Blender), so I recruited the help of a friend. Here's a preview:

  21. Playing around with and google's GNM head generator and exports to to be able to control the faces from there, very much work in progress but it's fun to play with!

  22. I recently completed a set of construction documents for the government client (I work as an HVAC engineer). The project followed the BIM standard, and the required documentation included an .ifc file containing a large amount of information. Although I created the design in Revit and exported the model to .ifc format, I used the BonsaiBIM to verify the imported data. I was really pleased that the lead engineer also used BonsaiBIM to verify his data, independently of me.

  24. Best of Blender Artists: 2026-35

Every week, hundreds of artists share their work on the Blender Artists forum. I'm putting some of the best work in the spotlight in a weekly post here on BlenderNation.

  25. Hola #Blender3d and #GoDOTengine peeps!

Working extra hard to make sure the #godot export for my add-on/extension is seamless! So far, it's been a bit bumpy converting the Blender Coords over to Godot's Vertex and Fragment graphs.

Along with some of the special requirements for having nice features like hard clipping and solving mip-mapping issues.

One more week polishing it ought to do it.

Pixel Perfect Pixel Art texture painting on top of the model in the 3D viewport and in 2D.

Drawing, painting, selection tools, layers, one-click texel density (pixel size) setup and density zones (multiple pixel sizes per face, like Mega Man Legends from the PS1).

    pi.dev in Termux. That's it.

p.s. now I'm compiling Blender LTS native!
