  1. Every now and then a coworker sends me an SVG file and says "Can you print this for me?" and I do some OpenSCAD stuff to make it into an STL, print it, give her the cutter and a week later I get a cookie.

  2. @BobDendry from my sources #3DPrinting with PCTG should really be the replacement of PETG unless you #recycling water bottles #tech

  3. KONGSBERG has acquired multi-laser metal additive manufacturing systems from EOS and AMCM to accelerate adoption across defence and security programmes. The company will install the machines, including the AMCM M 4K and M 290-2 1KW, at its production facility in Norway. tctmagazine.com/kongsberg-purc #3Dprint #3Dprinting #Industrial

  4. The largest thing I modeled yet, done in 5 min in FreeCAD and printed in one go on the Snapmaker U1, no failures/reprints, stuck to the base plate all the way, except for a small part of the brim in one corner.

I now get the "tool vs. hobby" compared to my Elegoo Neptune4. Not to mention that the print would not fit on the smaller 256mm plate.

  5. PCTG benchy.

Quite nice. Little rough, need to fine-tune a bit more, and there's a tiny bit of elephant foot present - overall pretty happy with it though.

  6. Most 3D printers move their printhead with belts and pulleys, but a startup called Tesseract is bringing linear motors to desktop 3D printing. Linear motors offer faster, more precise movement without the vibration or stretch that comes with belts. The technology has been used in industrial machines for years but is now making its way to consumer printers. 3dnatives.com/en/startup3d-tes #3Dprint #3Dprinting #Consumer

  7. #reflection looking back at the 2020 pandemic i should have gotten a new #computer , a new #3DPrinting workstation & would remember every night they would count every dead body from #covid , it really was a dark time I didn’t always had complete groceries so for example I had to eat jam sandwiches & my local butcher to make ends meet for #food I am telling you Covid would make people scared for their life of Germs people even died from not getting #healthcare over Covid many died

  14. This is the Wyrmwood dice vault 3D printed with lots of different Polymaker PolyTerra PLA filament. The color selection is a bit random, especially on the hexagonal pattern where the colors weren’t matched in the slicer. The dice are regular cotton candy dice. Unfortunately I’ve seen to misplaced the D6.
