Where do you order your bulk stickers from?
I love the quality and cost of mine, but they take about a month, from order to receipt. Not to mention we have the country between us.
A sure sign of success for the maker, but hampers my plans a bunch for adding new designs in the lineup.I'd like a local maker preferably, but haven't found one that axshullee does it. Anyone suggest a #Tucson shop?

Decided to finally fix the vidrover. I enjoy the figuring it out part a lot more than the playing with it part. I drove it off a counter and busted it up good a few months ago and its just been sitting here broke.
Lessee how round 2 goes.

Mein Vater war gelernter Kfz-Mechaniker und arbeitete später viele Jahre als Betriebsschlosser in einem großen Industriebetrieb. Irgendwann in den frühen 1980er-Jahren brachte er einen selbst gebauten Kompressor mit nach Hause, gebaut aus Teilen, die als "Schrott" deklariert waren (nicht alle waren wirklich Schrott). Nach Tausch eines Antriebsriemens vor wenigen Jahren erzeugt der Kompressor bis heute zuverlässig Druckluft. Wahrscheinlich wäre mein Vater heute ein Maker. #diy #maker

I add a second latch because the wood was still buckling. You wouldn't see the separation since it'd be on the side of the piece, so I might not have bothered, except that the gap on that far corner was wide enough to allow the power cord to fall through.

I have very simple, inexpensive item for the retro community that I had a need for and thought I might offer to others. As much as anything, it's a low stakes way to experiment with the whole cycle from design to online sales.
I'd be curious for input from other makers on Lectronz vs. Tindie vs. whatever other platforms you might suggest. I'm in the US and would likely sell only in the US for now (to get my bearings), so insights there are helpful, too. Thanks!

Unsure what to do 🤔... I got a small n20 motor for this "elevator". My space is super limited, so it will fit well in its final position. I'm unsure if I should try something slightly more powerful. I don't have enough room for a counterweight. It's rated to 50ish rpm, maybe I should have tried the 110 rpm version?

I am now a HUSBAND.
But I am mainly want to show off the clothing we both sewed ourselves. My WIFE sewed her corset and skirt (she’s only really started this hobby a year ago!). It’s a two-piece so that she can wear them casually in the future (with minor length alterations).
I sewed my waistcoat and tie (same materials). But I also made the buttons, I'm quite proud of the design there, although it needs polishing (first time making buttons).

I used a *strip* of diffusion film across the LED light ring rather than a circular layer, so it doesn't cover the entire opening of the tower that the LED light rings sit in. I should have anticipated shadows when the LED was lit. I'm going to redesign it.

Got the mill fired up, trammed in the vise, used an edge finder and 1/2 mode to get set up on the centre of my bracket. Y axis is locked.
Just need a unc drill and tap to show up and we can poke some freedom holes in this thing.
I could, I’m sure, freehand this with layout and courage but I do need to justify owning a mill so let’s try and get some tens of microns accurate holes in play. #maker #machining #diy #retrocomputing -
