@roygreenhilt I started my #virtualpinball directly on #batocera and I can't judge it on Win.
I love how many things already work out of the box, but if you start hitting walls it's hard to find help because almost all docs and discussions are Win only. Luckily the folks on Discord are a great help :-)

@roygreenhilt @PlumpCat Its #GrazeforMastodon not core mastodon, you can easily turn if off in settings if you don't want it. Most alt text is a couple words to a single line at most. this is an extreme case obviously. If you don't like it turn it off in the settings or uninstall Graze.

@roygreenhilt I try to #hashtag at least one important word in whatever thought I'm committing to a toot. Even retroactive hashtagging helps me clarify my thoughts. Otherwise, I figure there isn't much of a point in the first place. No #bigideas , no toots.

Here's my #throwbackthursday contribution. This was my bedroom in 1988.
The large rack contained my #pdp11 34, with an RL02 drive under it. In the corner is an ATT #3b1 (aka #unixpc), with an old #mac next to it.
The thing I really miss is the #dec #gigi terminal in the middle. Very hard to find now. It was a graphics #vt100 compatible terminal.
The PDP11 ran #rsts. There's 2 more racks full of hardware for it off to the left. Was like being next to jetliner when it was running.

Unpopular opinion: I think #Slack is in trouble. Microsoft is putting enormous efforts into adding features and integrations and functions into Teams, and slack / #salesforce is doing... Nothing.
I don't like Microsoft. I don't like #microsofteams. I find the interface difficult to navigate and unintuitive, but it's clear that Microsoft is hell-bent on overtaking slack, and they are well on their way to succeeding.
