One final old plane mostly tuned up. There are some cracks in the body, but I think they're stable? The blade is heavy, has some pitting on the back so the cut isn't perfect but good enough. I think I found this one at an estate sale a couple years ago for a fair price. #woodworking

Measure twice, cut, or drill, once. I'm making a jig to hold wood so I can axe chunks off without worrying the axe will hit the concrete patio floor.
Base board and sides are marked for drilling the pilot holes for screws to attach two sides and make a right-angle working surface.

Pour même pas trois heures à l'atelier, en partant de vieux bouts de bois, je m'en sors plutôt bien (c'est un dry fit, c'est pour ça que ça a l'air de vouloir se casser la gueule ; c'est effectivement le cas).

Glue the two edge strips to the base, angling them slightly inwards on one side, then glue the top on. Once dry, trim the rectangles down to the edge strips, this gives you this trapezoid shape.
Sand, oil or varnish.
Cut out two small pieces of cigarette paper for the membrane.

I made a swivel mount for my pegboard! Look at those easily accessible tools!!
It's mostly scrap wood, got the pegboard from a garage sale, and the remaining bits (e.g. hinges) are from our local hardware store.
It works so well! And the process was fun, I learned a lot about working with wood. Mistake -> brainstorm fix -> try again -> repeat.

I added some #N3Nano ceramic coating to my coffee table. It's really neat. It adds a UV resistant hydrophobic layer. I can't wait to apply it to my river table.

Finally first coat of finish is on the outfeed/ assembly table. 2 or 3 more costs and then wax should be enough to protect from inevitable glue spills.

Finished and sanded both halves of the A-Frame sign holder, now only one more significant step.
I believe I'm the World's Worst Painter® and I get paint everywhere no matter how hard I try not to. I can put brush strokes the entire length of Route 66, and can confirm I will be .235 of a pint short at the end of any #painting #project.
