Seitdem powerfox auf ein Abomodell "Pro" umgestellt hat, läuft die app nicht mehr zuverlässig und die api ist zu, also ohne Abo keine homeassistant Integration o. ä..
Ohne Abo waren das keine Profi Funktionen 😂
Damit ist der poweropti Müll, nach nur drei Jahren 😴 und ich kann ihn auch nicht mehr weiterempfehlen 🤷♂️

#HomeAssistant sei dank , die erste Baustelle konnte abgeschafft werden - kein Arlo Konto mehr , stattdessen eine POE Kamera mit lokaler Sicherung auf dem heimischen NAS.
Jetzt Grad Fernzugriff per #Wireguard eingerichtet dann werde ich zukünftig Fotos vom Smartphone auch direkt auf NAS sichern und nicht mehr in der cloud beim Amerikaner ....

@claude_flammang It's grown over the years.. Pretty much everything in my house is monitored and / or controllable. With lots of ESPHome stuff, Zigbee and Z-Wave. It adds up. :) Love #homeassistant but the web frontend limitation is really annoying and limits how many of my old Raspberry Pi and similar low powered devices I can effectively use. I run HA in a #proxmox VM on a decent system, so there is no lag or issues there.

But I have a few Pi4 and 3s around the house that used to run web-based small (only a few switches and readouts) dashboards, but they became unusable as I kept expanding my system. I would love to see a re-do someday of the #homeassistant frontend that supports a subscription model where the page only gets the entities it needs, nothing more. Until then ... #codex has been very good at replicating HA dashboards in #python.. :)

Does anyone out there have any opinions on using Home Assistant in a Docker container, as opposed to in a VM?
It occurs to me that shifting it into a container might make it a more stable experience, but I wasn't as familiar with containers when I first set it up.

So langsam greift alles ineinander. Hatte noch eine Baustelle mit der sicheren Ansteuerung der #ShellyPlugS, aber größtenteils ist die jetzt stabil und liefert Daten zum #Stromverbrauch.
Der kleine 24x7 Server mit #Debian auf #pcEngines #APU1D4 mit 9 Watt übernimmt die Steuerung, Datenerfassung und automatisierte Entschlüsselung von #LUKS - und #HomeAssistant.
Kollege #KI war so freundlich, den gestrigen Tag mal zu visualisieren.
Um 07:35 began ich den Tag mit Kaffe und dem Lesen meiner #RSS-Feeds, dafür habe ich den Server j21 manuell gestartet. Dabei wurde auch #Nextcloud und S3-Storage verfügbar.
Die drei Spitzen im Verbrauch sind vermutlich die täglichen Backups via #restic auf #S3 der großen Systeme. Dafür werden 4 HDDs aktiv - den Prozess hatte ich bewusst schon vor Jahren in die Tageszeit verschoben, wenn die #PV-Anlage #Solarstrom liefert.
Um 22:00 hat #systemd den fetten Server runtergefahren, da lief dann nur noch das #BMC mit immerhin 11 Watt. Abgeschaltet habe ich den #Strom dann per #Shelly manuell.
Diesen Teil - per Shelly an- und abstellen - automatisiere ich noch, wenn die Testphase rum ist. Bislang sieht es gut aus.

Signing up for Home Assistant Cloud now begins on a clearer start page: one obvious button to Start your free trial, and a link to Sign in if you already have an account. It also finally shows what you would actually be getting. The old page left you to guess what was behind that button, which, fair enough, didn’t help anyone. Now the features are listed right there, before you even start the trial

I finally got around to pulling my electrical usage data into #HomeAssistant and now I can actually pretty easily compare my energy usage post-Heatpump install to the old AC times. Now, I'm sure the difference between heat outside in July vs now makes a difference, but I'm using basically half the amount of power per day after the heat pump install. Even comparing to May, I'm looking at about a 25% reduction. Exciting stuff!
