Der Ressourcenverbrauch ist hoch, aber man muss das Werkzeug ja nicht für Dünnsinn einsetzen. Ich nagle mir mithilfe Opus 5 nach und nach meine Home-Automation mit PV, Akku, 2x WP, EV und weiteren flexiblen Verbrauchern zusammen. JavaScript geht bei Opus weitaus fixer als bei mir relativ Ungeübtem. Hätte das allein vllt nicht machen können. Bin mir sicher, dass die Ressourcen schnell amortisiert sind.

@Em0nM4stodon The Raspberry Pi running #HomeAssistant stays on all night, because it's doing useful things. Others get turned off - why would I burn carbon when I'm not using them??

Also due to earthquake there was 2.5hr fibre internet downtime. My #homelab is configured to fall over to backup 4G connection (B-mobile) which happened seamlessly and then went back to fibre when it became available again. It was around 2AM when I run few backup jobs and these were waiting correctly for fibre to become available. All was captured in telemetry and shown as notifications in #homeassistant

I have all the parts I need, and tested the install multiple times, but I'm still dragging my Home Assistant migration from Docker to metal, because I'm avoiding having to deal with a broken ZigBee...

Hier im #Fediverse verstehen diese Ablehnung wahrscheinlich die Wenigsten.

Ich freue mich auch jedes mal, wenn ich in einem unserer #EAuto fahre, über das leise, sanfte, smoothe dahingleiten bei gleichzeitig massig Beschleunigung - und nach dem Laden über die eigene #Photovoltaikanlage beim Blick in den #Homeassistant über Kosten von im Schnitt gerade mal 3,50 Euro/100 km. Unser letzter Verbrenner würde bei heutigen Spritpreisen 14 Euro/100 km kosten - und auch der sparsamste Diesel läge bei über 10 Euro/100 km.

Ich wiederhole mich, wenn ich sage:
Wer auch immer die Möglichkeit hat, macht eure Dächer voll mit #PV, kauft euch einen #Stromspeicher, heizt mit #Wämepumpe und fahrt #Elektroauto. Die Investition macht maximal unabhängig, spart über die Nutzungsdauer viel Geld und noch mehr #CO2.

Got 4 cheapo temperature and humidity sensors on AliExpress. Quite quick and easy to connect them to #HomeAssistant
Stuff like that is a reasonable expense and handy.

I curiously wondered what these #CheerLights messages @Adrianlan was sending.
2 hours later I have an MQTT bridge setup and a vastly over engineered #HomeAssistant script and automation to target labelled lights with the colour change if they are on.
Learnt some new things on that rabbit hole.

At least I didn't write yet another integration though which was my initial thought.

Attribute von Sensoren aus Home Assistant lassen sich in Node Red für die Automatisierung verwenden. Dafür ist ein kleiner Umweg über JSON notwendig.

Winter is coming. Da muss ich doch gleich mal am Home Assistant schrauben und meine KWL-Steuerung optimieren. Macht keinen Sinn, dass sich HA bei <20°C Gedanken macht, ob man die KWL besser abschaltet oder nicht. #homeassistant
