Yesterday, it started to smell like burned plastics in my bathroom. I had the hot water boiler under suspicion, but it actually was the Gosund SP112 it was attached to.
There was no water or something else out of the ordinary visible, it just sits in the corner besides the boiler, plugged into the wall socket.
I have no idea what exactly happened here and why. This setup has worked for several years now unchanged.

Home Assistant auf podman läuft jetzt.
Wenn auch erstmal (für die Einrichtung) im privileged Mode mit sudo. Da flashen sich Geräte einfach leichter.
Irgendwann schreibe ich dafür noch ein Quadlet und führe es mit den minimalen Rechten aus.
Die Thermometer zu koppeln war kein Problem.
Die App um die Sonoff-Geräte zu koppeln (eweLink) ist ja mal richtiger Müll, aber hat funktioniert.
Richte gerade noch die Smartplugs für Zwift und die Steckerliste für Fernseher und Roku Soundbar ein, bevor ich gleich zwei Stunden trainiere.
Dann hab ich auch eine Ahnung, wieviel Strom das insgesamt ist.

For giggles I installed the #HomeAssistant IMAP integration and attempted to configure *any* functionality with the GUI (no sneaky diving into YAML). As far as I can tell, you can get an event when the mailbox state changes, and ... erm, can't find anything else.

Crawled into the tightest corner of the attic to facilitate getting a wire into the eaves. Miserable job but I was successful. 😊
Now I'll probably be itchy for a few days in spite of trying to avoid contact with the insulation. Glad to have that done!
A string is in place so I can pull some Ethernet cable for a PoE camera. Ultimately should be fun seeing what critters visit the garden.

Homeassistant als NAS Ersatz. Ich scheue den Kauf eines echten NAS, da ich es nicht wirklich brauche, so viele Daten horte ich nicht und mein Backup/Restore-Konzept ist anders gut organisiert. Nachdem Versuche mit der Fritz!Box 7690 enttäuschend waren, habe ich nun der Homeassistant Instanz einen samba share spendiert, um auch größere Dateien / Medien / Archive zwischen Geräten zuverlässig auszutauschen. Läuft :)
