Is it just me or does TueNAS Scale lack a feature to do file-level backups to a USB hard drive connected directly to the server?

I couldn't figure it out a while back but to be fair I was very stressed and tired at the time.

I have been so overly excited by the #FreeCORE project, so I went straight to their #Libera IRC channel and proposed a donation.

I've got a private reply, so I will not post it fully, but it goes like this:

Frage zu #Quota bei #TrueNAS:
Ich verstehe das so, dass ein Quta für ein übergeordnetes #Dateset (z.B. den gesamten #ZFS #Pool) auch für die darunter liegenden Datasets gilt. Quota werden ja üblicherweise vererbt.

Sprich, wenn ein User im ZFS Pool ein Quota von 500 GB hat, dann kann er in Summe in allen Datasets dieses Pools maximal 500 GB speichern. Richtig?

Leider wird das nirgends eindeutig beschrieben / erklärt - oder ich finde es nicht 🤷‍♂️
