Thanks to the help of excellent community forum (forum.sailfishos.org) of #SailfishOS I got one of the #android apps I dislike to function. It was Microsoft authenticator, which now gets those 2-step verification popups to sign in. This is huge for me as my university doesn't allow anything else than MS authenticator 2-step verification for signing in. Which of course is discriminative and I hate, but life is. Final enemy is #mobilepay for my #JollaPhone, which is last that doesn't really work

As someone who ordered the Librem 5 and then waited years for it to ship (only to be thoroughly disappointed), there's some hesitation in giving the Jolla phone a shot. But Jolla /are/ shipping and my Fairphone is 3 years old. So... let's do this. Snow White it is! #jollaphone

Sure, I still had to download android apps to daily drive this thing, but I find myself more and moving to use services which can be used natively. Now I just hope European companies would 1) make sure their android apps work with #Sailfish 2) start to think of making native apps for European own mobileOS

@Tutanota My favorite is the one that has independent European mobile OS in it, #JollaPhone made by #Jolla and running #SailfishOS. Hope you review it one day also! And can't wait to have native Tuta apps for it ;)

Samsung S23 popped all three camera lens protection glasses this year. Smells like planned obscolence. Never mind, waiting my new #jollaphone. I ordered it because I won't risk losing some #opensource programs from F-droid with the upcoming Android changes. Now the old phone is breaking. So why buy expensive phones at all when they are just mediocre quality?

What a quirky product launch. Emotions exploding, at least by northern European standards. I love every second of it and now I am upset I didn't go there!

Jolla and SailfishOS should be much more in public focus. It is a great product and driven by a European mindset. Data protection, privacy, functionality and design (Of course, it's from Scandinavia!). We have a European mobile platform and should use it!

And no, modified Androids are not really the answer... We need sovereignty from Big Tech in hardware, software and usability/ecosystem.

Someone made a really great, native Sailfish OS app for Immich and it inspired me to finally get it set up on my home server. Really handy for automatic photo and video backup! Immich and this app are really great pieces of kit. #JollaPhone #SailfishOS

Not bad for a "camera slider" being...one of our IKEA side tables with the camera sitting on another piece of wood...being manually pushed across the table 😁

On editing side, I took advantage of Davinci Resolve's "Optical Flow" retiming and "Enhanced Better" motion estimation to smooth it out just a bit, as well as "similarity" mode stabilization
