In fact, EPI (#Wero) isn’t interested in alternative operating systems, as they’re too niche. The aim of this project is to show EPI that the community can take on some of the development work. Perhaps (nothing is guaranteed) EPI will use our work as a basis for providing a native app for #SailfishOS.

And no, modified Androids are not really the answer... We need sovereignty from Big Tech in hardware, software and usability/ecosystem.

Sometimes #Android app updates may cause issues on #SailfishOS. You can downgrade to an older version if that happens. Some developers deprecate old app versions rather aggressively, which can be problematic if new versions don't run correctly on SailfishOS.
