Heute, 11Uhr im Wartezimmer. Plötzlich gings los! #Warntag !
Alle Handys schlugen Alarm. Alle - bis auf meines. Ich war offline, hatte nur Handyempfang. Und #SailfishOS auf einem #JollaC2 .
Im Sommer bin ich bei strahlendem Sonnenschein in der Tatra von der Slowakei nach Polen gefahren. Wieder offline, wieder nur Handyempfang.
DORT wurde ich vor schweren Unwettern auf Englisch gewarnt. Nach dem Motto: "Hier geht die Welt unter, kehre zurück!"
Nun frage ich mich, wieso das in Polen funktioniert und in Deutschland nicht....?

To access my home network from outside I’m using the built-in Wireguard support in Sailfish OS. It is as simple as importing a .conf file and to get easy and fast access to it, I’ve added it to the Top Menu.

It is a great example on the privacy focus @jolla with this phone!

@TimothyRoes I'm a #vim'er, and yes I do that on the go. #pass for passwords, #ssh to check or fix my servers, etc.

Later I also want to make #homeManager modules for #SailfishOS settings, especially those that aren't stored in a SFOS backup. Endgame would be to distribute SFOS apps via #nix, which would be awesome!

What's a good full physical keyboard phone with a headphone jack that runs android or can run an alt OS like Graphene or Lineage?

@mhoye I wonder if the new #JollaPhone with its Nokia heritage #SailfishOS can do something like this… monitors can be connected over USB-C nowadays after all.

I'm finishing my Mastodon client for #sailfishOS. It's totally usable after few evenings of work. If you have this OS you can already try it out as beta on OpenRepos/Storeman

@stedi Huutelen itsekin täältä #SailfishOS pimeältä puolelta :) Kuten Olli tossa ehtikin jo kommentoida, Signalista on natiivi sovellus Whisperfish ja Bitwardenin natiivi sovellus on Bitsailor.

Lisäksi huomiona, nextcloudiin on natiivi sovellus nimeltään FerrySync. Kontaktit ja kalenteri pitäisi synkkaantua, kun menet asetuksiin > account ja lisäät sinne Nextcloud tilisi tiedot. Siellä voi lisätä myös Mastodon tilin, niin saat postaukset ja ilmoitukset suoraan Events näkymään!

Nota a les apps de correu: moltes apps d'android d"aurora store s'emboliquen amb el text predictiu quan escrius correus, fins al punt que és impossible escriure (spark, bluemail, edison mail).
Desinstal.lar el text predictiu de #sailfishOS via jolla shop o soluciona.
#fairmail funciona bé sense deshabilitar res i #thunderbird de f-droid també

I'm waiting for my #JollaPhone and #Immich was on my list to try, so was the #FutoKeyboard for #SailfishOS. But now I know that a little over 2 years ago Immich were acquired by #FUTO https://immich.app/blog/futo-two-years-later and FUTO's reputation is... shall we say questionable? https://drewdevault.com/blog/Whats-up-with-FUTO/

The Jolla Phone 2026 is now more or less configured as I want it.

- Work email and calendar is working flawlessly from Microsoft 365.
- IMAP/SMTP is used for my private mail domain
- Gmail for the trash mails that I have to look through once in a while
- CALDAV/CARDDAV for calendar and contacts from my private Nextcloud server

For me, mail and calendar are perhaps the most important services running on my phone. Really happy seeing it work so well on the phone!

Le projet est encore en phase de réflexion, et j’aimerais recueillir vos avis sur sa faisabilité. À terme, il pourrait également bénéficier à l’écosystème #Android, si Wero ouvre ses API pour faciliter son intégration.

EU needs to make a stand on Play Integrity. If app devs enforce Play Integrity, this means only Google Certified devices can use banking, etc. This excludes all alternative mobile OS. No #postmarketOS, no #SailfishOS, no Android derivatives #GrapheneOS etc. You don't need Play Integrity. If someone is capable to install or use alternative OS, they sure know what to install or not install, it is on their responsibility. Using non-root but bootloader unlocked device (otherwise can't use alternative OS) does not make my device less secure. On the contrary, it is using an up to date OS with the latest security patches.
