This is my…second? Maybe third? Time picking up #alcoholMarkers.
Drawn with pencil and then inked. Then, surprisingly, easily colored with markers.
This is the first time I’ve tried to do, like, “dimension”, and despite a little bit of trouble with a terrible off brand acrylic marker in a botched attempt at adding highlights, I’m pretty pleased with how it came out!
Meet Arnov Volk, “Wraith”. He’s a completely legitimate businessman with nothing but my best interests at heart. Or, well, as far as I can tell, anyway. This is an npc that was generated in #ironsworn #starforged for my #soloRPG campaign.
The very first task he gave my character was to rescue a bunch of exiled pirates by bringing them medicine and then, eventually, evacuating them from their now-revealed secret base.
Sigh, and yes, I can see that he is cross eyed. Now.

Happy to report that my idea for a clock based yes/no oracle for #SoloRPG works well enough to utilize while driving and washing dishes. I used it on a long drive yesterday to good effect.
When you ask a yes/no question you look at the clock. If possible you use the minutes hand. If needed you check the seconds hand. If the hand reads an even number the answer is yes. If the hand reads an odd number the answer is no.
Simple but effective for simple "play".

Another itch.io anecdote!
For the last couple of days, 80% of people buying my little hobby games on itch added a tip on top of the asking price. And not just a $1 tip - one person tipped $15!
As usual, my feelings about it are less about the money and more about the vote of confidence. It’s heartening.
DTRPG is the big player in this space but I don’t get warm fuzzies from sales there. Itch feels more like a supportive community than just a storefront.

I have an idea. I want to build a new section on my site which is all about #SoloRPG play in a #sandbox. It would have explanations about how to generate things on the fly (on the fly generation is key for solo play) - quests, NPCs, hex terrain, dungeons, etc.
The goal would be that people could have that page up as they play, and it would help them when they got stuck or needed some sort of content generated, etc.
But I just realized that I would need to make a dungeon generator first.

The latest episode (S3E64) of the #SoloRPG podcast #TalesOfTheManticore honestly made me shed a few tears, when a character skillfully voiced by @legendbones revealed a profound secret to the protagonist.
Such a beautiful moment. I love the #SoloRPG hobby, its content creators, and the community surrounding it.
And as I've said before - would this hobby even exist in its current form if it wasn't for the efforts of @TanaPigeonWMG, author of the #MythicGME? We have A LOT to thank her for.

This looks like an interesting supplement for #OSR #SoloRPG play. My problem with tools like this is that I'm stupid, and always think "I can do better myself", and I end up making/using my own solo tools anyway, instead of actually giving other people's tools a fair shot. It's annoying, because even if I do end up making my own tools, actually using other tools first would give me better ideas. But I have a hard time bringing myself to doing it.
I told you I'm stupid.

When an alien race have gone missing and left only some traces, those traces got some records of what happened.
A xenoarchaeologist should piece together if the alien's fate was biological, mechanical, transendental, hybernating or something extinguished them.
