Apologies for another extended absence... I've been away on holiday and just so busy that I didn't have the time for social media.
But I'm back with my Space Marine Intersessors from the Armageddon box. Painted up in a retro 2nd edition style, including Goblin Green bases!
The aim is to paint the whole box in 2nd edition colours, even the Orks! And maybe eventually build a 2nd edition style table to play on!

Another attempt to onboard a group of new players onto #Warhammer40k with predictably mixed results.
In some respects you have to hand it to Games Workshop. It was hard to onboard people onto the game in 2008 and it remains hard to do in 2026. Some rules have been simplified but the first 2-3 games for a new player are just brutally boring.
I know I’ve said it before but it makes me so mad that #killteam isn’t a stripped down fast version of 40K but is instead a different game with very few transferable mechanics.
What I want is to be able to tell people to buy Killteam, have them learn the mechanics there during fast 15-20 minute matches, practice in a low cost environment with low stakes and then graduate up to a 40K game. Instead I have people try Killteam, learn it, then try 40K and realize “oh this is a totally different way harder thing” and give up.

Even without too much precision, I could make some progress with repainting the Cadians' base colors and finish their new bases.
