I managed to find twice 20 minutes of free time in my day yesterday.
So I quickly started to paint the bases of a bunch of blue horrors I had sitting on my desk.
I also started painting the exalted flamer of Tzeentch.If I keep putting 2 layers every 2 months, I might finish this model by the end of the year.

Blood Bowl match today against "Team Titus" - the Ultramarine player's Imperial Nobility team. I won the match 1-0; but it was a brawler; combined at the end of the first half 6 players had been knocked out or removed from the game due to injuries.

Another coat of dirty red on the black of the Pink Horrors, followed by Violet red from the bottom, and I think I have a good base.
I'll be able to move to the brush to do the details.
I think it took me roughly the same amount of time as if I would have applied contrast paint with the brush.

I've applied the base coat on the pink horrors.
I don't know what I did differently from the blue horrors, but I feel like I got a better result.
Maybe the dry brush helped a lot more. I'll probably put a second coat of the same color next time to increase the saturation. 10 new pink horrors have been summoned.
This completes the first batch of my Tzeentch army with all/most of the daemons.
This makes 32 more miniatures to paint including an Herald of Tzeentch on Burning Chariot, and a daemon prince.
It will soon be time to take out the airbrush and find time in my day to slay the gray! -
I've been quiet those past few days, but I'm slowly building my Tzeentch daemons.
They have a lot of mold lines and gaps, and it takes a while to clean up.
I like the design and variations you can get out of them. -

I fixed the mistakes I made when applying the texture paint.

I dry brushed the bases. They are a bit bare, but I think it's ok. The rest of the army will have different bases, but I want those to look like they just got summoned from the warp (not sure about AoS lore).
I'm still undecided about the rim: Tzeentch turquoise or black?

I applied a fluorescent yellow on the flames. We will see the effect after it dries. It's not what I expected, but I think it will stay like that.

I dry brushed multiple greens on the flames today.
I don't think it looks good on most of them :'(
The flames are very small, and my smallest dry brush was not giving a smooth result.
I think I'll put some fluorescent yellow on top and call it a day.

I didn't share yesterday, but I've been painting eye sockets for 2 days.
Tomorrow, I should be able to finish the eyes.My small brush starts to split very easily. I will use a bigger brush next, because it's going to be impossible to do something clean if I don't have a nice tip.

All my blue horrors got their gold. The models are very good, but batch painting is making them less enjoyable.
I think I will do the steel parts next to be done with the metallics. The new Gitmob kits for Age of Sigmar are extensively customizable. It appears that most everything between the Snarlfang Cavalry and the Sunsteela Wheelas are interchangable to some degree. Good for kitbashing, bad for option-paralysis.

I spent the day dusting my #gunpla, and packing them into moving boxes. I haven't cleaned them since I moved here 4 years ago.
I don't think I will ever put so many out without display cases.
I still have some from the previous apartment (or work place) that I never took out of their storage boxes...I'm glad my #warhammer models are all in sealed containers. Even if I can't display them.
Also farewell to my airbrush booth and my dry brush palette.

Another marathon paint session (I'm beginning to remember why I don't do these anymore) and the Spearhead: Fire and Jade terrain set is complete! I tried a couple different techniques with this one, mainly because I wanted to see if I could produce a "warmer" stone than the typical grey I see these painted in.
