My second trashbashed video game boss is primed and ready to paint (as seen in the GIF).
The "drill whale" ended up pretty fun to interact with. The body is a gel cone air freshener, so its drill nose(?) can be pulled in/out and rotated. And the turbine tail was left unglued, so it can still twist.
But I think I'm most proud of finally using some waste laser-cut hexagons I snatched up years ago from a makerspace lol.

My trashbashed boss is now primed and ready for a (passable) paint job. Since I'll be touching things up digitally, hopefully I'll have a more freeing painting experience.

I'm working on a new video game and didn't feel like making pixel art, as I usually do. So I'm trashbashing every boss and using their photos as the sprites instead.
I tried to finish the first boss, a bull tank, this weekend and got pretty far. I still have to make the other set of tank treads and horns, then paint it all.

Wickeyed (pic 1) began as a monsterbash challenge. (Pic 2) I randomly generated 5 monster parts and brainstormed a wax monster with my brother.
(Pic 3) I used a random bottle (for the stove body), a Wawa juice bottle and styrofoam (for the monster body), a water gun piece (for the arm), and other junk.
(Pic 4) After adding a few 3D-printed and EVA foam pieces, hot glue was layered on to achieve the dripping wax.

"Wickeyed are sentient wax slimes who, despite their ominous appearance, are more of a nuisance than a threat. Though novel thinking has recently made them surprisingly helpful for humans.” (1/3)
Additional lore in the replies!
I'll post its development tomorrow.

This is the all-in-one pencil robot. It started 4 years ago when I finally tried "trashbashing" like many YouTubers I watch. But I abandoned the project for other ideas (that I also abandoned).
I'm looking forward to completing more old ideas and enhancing others this year.

I'm back with Junk Warrior's back! Here is my prop V-twin motorcycle engine.
Halloween looms ever closer so I'm crossing my fingers I'll get everything done soon.

I'm creating a post-apocalyptic/Mad Max version of Yu-Gi-Oh's Junk Warrior for Halloween. Here's what I have so far for his iconic Scrap Fist.
This costume feels like a marrying of my pre and post-EVA foam days. Instead of being beholden to using whatever pre-fabricated items fit the closest, I am encouraged to do so (because of the theme) but I can enhance them with EVA foam crafting.
