Today's progress! Lower body is done, edge highlighting and all. Next step is Armageddon dust and the steps that go with it, and then I'm ready to experiment with OSL. I'm dreading that part a bit. I decided to stay true to my vior'la colour scheme. I'll do the "half 'n half" thing that looks so cool on the box, but with white and red. As soon as I have the lower body finished the thought is to glue it to the base, do my regular armageddon dust, and then experiment with some OSL from the flames and the force field. 🤔 #warhammercommunity #Warhammer40k #wh40k #MiniaturePainting #PaintingWarhammer #Warhammer #WIP

What is the best way to paint flames? Following a recommendation, I first tried yellow base, drybrush with first orange then red. That's left. But then I tried the inverse. Mephiston base, then drybrush with evil sunz, then fire dragon, then corax which I covered with imperial fist. That's the one on the right. "The Fang 2026" coming up, in the #Oslo #Warhammer store. I have submissions in three categories, my first time in a painting competition! I'm orders of magnitude below the skill level needed to actually compete. But it's fun, and at least I increase the number of T'au miniatures in the cabinet! For the greater good!
