This is now my second time reading a manga adaptation of a classic of Japanese literature. This is an adaptation of Osamu Dazai's 1948 novel No Longer Human, a largely autobiographical story about the son of wealthy politician, who is the last son and largely ignored by his family.
Content warnings from Anime Planet for this story include Alcoholism, Sexual Abuse, Physical Abuse, Explicit Sex, and Suicide. All those topics are covered in this story which makes me really wonder how horrible the original author's life was.
