The Primary Phase Principle - Echoes Of The Mechatronic Age [Subterranean Ages #1]

    Track listing:
    https://archive.org/download/biesentales-106/Biesentales%20106%20-%20Unwinding%20gaps%20%26%20bridges.md

Contains fediverse artists, namely @Graham Dunning, @Nathan Ho + @Robert Logan

    Overall this time: #AvantGarde / #Experimental / #Folk / #Jazz / #MathRock / #Glitch / #Generative #Leftfield
Percussion-ladden at first, then jazz, electro-acoustic and experimental music, continuing academically ironic, then 8bit glitchy, concluding with Polish math rock & Welsh solo guitar folk from the dark side and North American leftfield. You know, no gaps, no bridges.

Please remember: Commercial streaming sites kill human artists.
    Leave them, now.

A typical minor drinking budget always loves to find it's way instead to an artist played here. Music is the better drug. Get the track listing from the link above and then listen + download on #Faircamp, #Mirlo, Bandcamp. Also find physical media there.

    Enjoy!

This one is not on Mixcloud. Having problems there.

  7. The Durutti Column – Vini Reilly (1989, UK)

Continuing our journey through the epic Fedi-sourced catalogue of must-hear albums, our next spotlight is on number 184 on The List, submitted by thesweetcheat. Originally assembled by Alan Erasmus and Tony Wilson as a full band in the first days of the fabled Factory Records, The Durutti Column soon became the solo project of enigmatic (and prolific) guitar virtuoso Vini Reilly. This album, the seventh studio LP, continues the gorgeous guitar work found on his earlier ambient post-punk/dreamy art rock/experimental new wave/minimalist chamber/neoclassical releases but introduces a new toy: an Akai sampler, used to stunning effect to bring in a healthy dose of opera, soul, and pop vocal samples from the likes of Tracy Chapman, Mahalia Jackson, Annie Lennox, Otis Redding, soprano Joan Sutherland, and more (possibly even Sly Stone?). While the resulting mosaic may seem commonplace to us a quarter of a century after Moby’s Play was here, there, and every-f*cking-where, in 1989, Reilly's stitching of such disparate sounds together was ahead of its time.

“Vini Reilly, by the way, is way overdue a revival…it’s good music to chill out to.” - God/Tony Wilson, in the film 24 Hour Party People (2002)

  8. 🇩🇰 Martin Hall "Palladium" – 1990

Palladium is a beautifully restrained Martin Hall release, built around atmosphere, melody and a strong sense of dramatic space. Melancholic without becoming sentimental, and intimate while retaining a sense of grandeur...
