V / Australian/British solo musician V returns to Berlin with their reverb drenched and visceral fusion of post-punk, darkwave, noise and electronic music. Forged in the underground of Berlin in the 2010s and later refined through the DIY scenes in Australia, V’s performances shift between stark intimacy and overwhelming intensity. GELBART / Experimental pop, Berlin, 2005–present. 20+ records, two short films, one sci-fi novel, and roughly 500 bunnies. Gelbart's shows combine synths, guitar, bass clarinet, vocoder, and self-built blipping machines, all handled at once by one person, with visuals synced on top. It's Friday, the weekend's upon us and that's cool and all... but I'm currently crashing down a bit, feeling tired, burnt out, exhausted, leeched. Which is not unusal for me at the end of the week, when the tension suddenly recedes and I notice just how much energy it takes for me just exist "out there".

On Running in the Evening During a Heatwave
Reading Time: < 1 minuteRationally it makes sense to go for a run when the sun is setting because the heat from the sun is lower. In theory this means that the body is dealing with a cooler environment.
In practice, when I go for evening rides and runs my body remains warm for hours, and that heat, during a heat wave, in a minergie building makes it unbearable.
For a few days it was cooling, and I had stopped using fans. I questioned why. I suspect that it is because when the building is exposed to heat wave temperatures for several days the air heats, but eventually the buildings’ structure begins to radiate its own stored heat energy. This means that you’re dealing with hot air, which isn’t bad. It’s when the building becomes a radiator that it becomes unpleasant.
When I was scuba diving the Léman was 5°c from 5-10m down all year round but now it has risen to 6.5°c. In the Alps there are roockfalls that are making rock climbing and hiking dangerous. Near Oechinensee rockfalls were seen heading for the lake.
We see images of England parched and dried up due to there being no rain for over a month.
England, and Europe are much warmer, and drier now. There was a news item about why fountains were turned off around the Vallée de Joux and about the desicated sugarbeet crops.
It’s worth remarking that we’re in a drought, and a heat wave at the same time. It’s hot, and dry. It is a good opportunity for natural history units to document this, so far, exceptional summer.Within two days the temperature should drop.

HALLOWS
HALLOWS is een in Los Angeles gevestigd dark electropop-duo, bestaande uit Vanee Dusoruth en Dom Rolando, beiden afkomstig uit Mauritius. Hun muziek ontstond vanuit de underground punkscene en brengt 80s synths en moderne elektronica samen in een sound die tegelijk dansbaar en melancholisch is. Met invloeden uit new wave, donkere elektronica en een sterke focus op emotie beweegt HALLOWS zich tussen de dansvloer en heartbreak. Live vertaalt dat zich naar energieke, fysiek intense shows die nog lang blijven hangen. For fans of Desire, Pixel Grip en Nuovo Testamento.
Sinds hun debuut-EP Subtle (2020) bouwde HALLOWS gestaag aan een plek binnen de moderne dark electronic scene. Albums als All That Is True (2021) en A Quieter Life (2023) leverden onder meer de fan-favorieten “All That Is True Dies”, “Talk To Me” en “Things That Hurt” op, en brachten het duo op festivals als Absolution Fest, Freakout Fest, Substance Fest en Verboden Fest. In 2025 tekende HALLOWS bij Artoffact Records en volgde hun eerste Europese tour. Hun derde album Dream (2026) is een filmisch en hartstochtelijk album over toxic love, verlies en de drang naar menselijke verbinding, waarin analoge productie, pulserende baslijnen, glinsterende synths en urgente én tedere vocalen samenkomen.
ORUS BORIS
Orus Boris is een coldwave-croonerproject onder leiding van de Rotterdamse Paul Mogwitz. Wankelende synthesizerlijnen vermengen zich met door New Romantic beïnvloede vocalen, gehuld in lo-fi melancholie. Een soundtrack voor langzame dansen in Italiaanse horrorfilms uit de jaren 80, lange ritten door besneeuwde stadslandschappen en diensten in schaars verlichte fabrieken.
GRAUZONE
Grauzone presenteert een divers en vooruitstrevend programma waarin muziek, film en kunst elkaar aanvullen. Het programma biedt ruimte aan zowel jong talent als gevestigde namen die geworteld zijn in of beïnvloed zijn door de undergroundmuziekscene, van new wave en elektronica tot psychedelische en experimentele muziek. Het Grauzone DJ Team bestaat uit Natasja Alers en Marc Emmerik, de oprichters en organisatoren van het Nederlandse Grauzone Festival. Ze draaien een donkere, energieke mix van postpunk, new wave, EBM en Italo disco.

Andrea Rubbio and Virginia Bones are gaining international recognition as the indie band GEOGRAPHY OF THE MOON, which they formed as a duet eight years ago in Britain before moving to Cambodia and then took their distinctive sound to the rest of East Asia.
Their death-pop, post-punk recordings incorporate elements of blues with surf-guitar riffs reminiscent of Frank Zappa that initially attracted the expat scene but are now widely played on commercial radio in Japan and Thailand – and in Europe and even South America.
