Hey! I didn't even check the Fediverse for awhile, but occassionally I'm still active with new music, mostly original solo works for quick 1-2h compos.
And one of these works got a surprisingly good reception all of a sudden in Newgrounds, a site I'm usually not very active at all either. It was a MIDI metal tune inspired by old shooter games like Doom or Duke Nukem.

I gave this old Korg NanoKontrol a refurb. It was a lot of fun as a mini project and side-quest!
I’ve been wanting to do this for ages. Spray painted it from white to black, and fitted out with 3D printed purple knob and faded caps.

“Laura Alice Bracken, a #Geelong-based artist, started building her own cyberdeck as an extension of her creative practice, in which she was experimenting with #MIDI controllers that take #biofrequencies from #plants and transform them into #soundwaves.
But Bracken, 39, wanted something she could take out into #nature and, after falling down a rabbit hole online, her mind started to widen to the world of #cyberdecks.
The device she is making – housed inside a vintage abalone shell – will also double as an e-reader.

Ich brauche heute eine ältere Software. Als Beifang haben wir eine MIDI Gitarre You Rock YRG 1000 bekommen. Klar, nicht mehr State of the Art und eher eine Maus für Gitarristen als ein wirkliches Instrument, aber geschenkt ist geschenkt. Ich suche nun die originale Software für die Kalibration des Geräts. Die Way Back Machine bringt mir hier zwar einiges, jedoch leider nicht die Firmware Update Files. В этой статье мы с нуля напишем рекуррентную нейросеть (LSTM) на PyTorch, которая научится улавливать музыкальные паттерны и генерировать собственные мелодии. Мы не будем использовать готовые сложные фреймворки вроде MusicGen. Вместо этого разберем весь процесс под капотом: возьмем очищенный датасет Lakh MIDI, напишем парсер нот с помощью music21, соберем датасет через скользящее окно и добавим модели «креативности» с помощью температуры сэмплинга.
