Both recordings where made with a Telinga Modular but this time I switched to the FEL Clippy mics. So far I like them but haven't had much opportunity yesterday to record. Will have to follow up on this. Field recording intensifies 🎤

Soliciting recommendations:
I would like a portable recording device with very long battery life (4+ hours of recording, ideally 8+). I don't mind if I have to put a very large battery (or a large number of small batteries) into it. My current Zoom H1 is a fine device in most respects but has inferior battery life [1] and I constantly find it running out of juice when I got to make voice memos or make extended field recordings. Certainly I wouldn't trust it to record entire shows straight through, which I'd also like to do. Do you have a portable recording device with superior battery life? Flow is presented actually at the EGU general assembly in Vienna, the biggest geoscience conference in Europe.
Working with the University of Padova and the University of Würzburg, Flow tells the story of a river through sound, from its source to its end.

Du Grand Ventron à l’Orbi il faut compter 2H30 de marche sur 10 KM avec un dénivelé positif de 345 M.
A l’arrivée une belle vue sur Ventron qui fait chaud au cœur.
C’est de cette ascension que Yann et Matthieu ont tiré le nom du groupe.
La musique n’a rien à voir avec cette randonnée épique effectuée quelques 30 ans plus tôt par le duo alors âgé de 11/12 ans.

The Northern Flicker pair continues to excavate a nesting cavity. Just now, I quietly approached from behind the stump and made a little recording.
