  1. I didn’t know I needed a #Telecaster with a semi-hollow body with a humbucker in the neck position and a paint job matching my orange shirt in my life, but turns out I absolutely do :D

  5. Hey, look I got the Telecaster back! It didn’t sell at the museum, so it’s mine now. I’m going to put a bit more guitar work in on it, a few ideas, but then I’ll be accepting offers. 😊 #gearsquad #guitar #custom #telecaster #art #painting

  13. Born this day in 1909 Leo Fender. Founder of Fender Musical Instruments. Leo Fender's first joint patent was filed in September 1944 alongside partner Clayton Orr "Doc" Kauffman. They patented an electric lap steel guitar featuring a string-through-body pickup design that Leo Fender had previously developed. This collaboration led to the creation of the K&F Manufacturing Corporation and, later, the Fender electric instrument legacy.

In 1950 the company released the Esquire, a thin body, fast neck electric that wouldn't feedback when played at volume of dance halls. Adding a second pick-up in '51 we had the Broadcaster which became the Telecaster. Still one of the most popular electric guitars for any genre.

The sounds we hear today might be very different if not for Leo Fender.

  18. I bought my #Telecaster|s‌‌ before Fender went nuts and started suing the competition over the #Stratocaster shape.
So I'm practically forced to buy another non-Fender Tele-style guitar, right? Right?

  27. Still very proud of my new tele-style thinline: I have found a great way to place the string ferrules in the body so that they are flush with the body but also it looks neat and is relatively easy to do.

  31. Finally assembling a guitar I have been working on for months (on and off, of course) and strumming the first amplified chord is such a pleasure.
Semi-hollow ash, maple top, nice hardware. Old Squier Classic Vibe 50s neck with the thick(!) lacquer removed from the board itself, I like a bare board but wanted maple. Fender Vintage 50 pickups, we'll see how those turn out, I'm not a big pickup connoisseur.
    Happy 75th, Telecaster
