Both Dan from That Pedal Show and Zack from Ask Zack have had the tone circuit removed from the neck pickup on their teles.
Mine has a gold foil middle pickup. The options are remove the tone from both the neck and the gold foil middle, or leave it.
What are the pros and cons?

#Telecaster is all back together!
It's playing well and the electrical contact cleaner did wonders for the knobs and switch. I still want to make sure it's setup properly, but that can wait until next weekend. It's still got some wear and tear, but it hasn't looked this good in years. 😊
This wasn't my first #guitar, but it holds a lot of sentimental value, having been a gift from my parents ~20 years ago when I was a teenager. I love the lightly flame figured maple neck, too! (Rare drop!)

Over the last couple of weeks I've made it my weekend project to restore my #telecaster as much as I can, after dropping it for the first time in my 20 years of owning it and putting a big chip in the body.
Here it is in exploded form after fixing the chip, wet sanding and buffing the body and guard, and using electrical contact cleaner on the pots and switches.

Fender Telecaster patented on August 14, 1951. The patent number was “Des. 164,227”. The guitar is my own mid 80's MIJ Tele.

In 1950 the company released the Esquire, a thin body, fast neck electric that wouldn't feedback when played at volume of dance halls. Adding a second pick-up in '51 we had the Broadcaster which became the Telecaster. Still one of the most popular electric guitars for any genre.

Ça me manquait trop même si c'est dangereux pour mes épaules : je viens de me racheter une guitare électrique simple et pas chère.
Je viens de l'essayer et je n'en reviens pas : la finition, la jouabilité, la tenue de l'accord et le son (nan mais le son ! 💕 Ce micro manche ! 🤩) sont parfaits, sans rien à améliorer ni à régler.
C'est stupéfiant.Larry Carlton T7, moins de 550 euros.
Moins bien même quand c'est 5 fois plus cher ? Bye bye Fender ! 😂

I recorded this two years ago as a proof of concept, and over the last two days I finally figured out how to mix it in #audacity so it sounds natural and acoustic, with no booming and no crackles. (I also had a problem with background electrical hum I only just figured how to mix out; I think my new neighbours have a smart fridge or something.)
It's a lovely tune anyway, and think it rather suits classical guitar and "woodwind".

Bahamas/Afie Jurvanen at Asbury Lanes last night. Second time I've seen him, first time was just solo Afie. What a killer band. Was definitely oldest audience member and went in to show sooo curious about what kind of crowd he'd draw. It sold out, shocking but great! Crowd talked over most of the show, shocking but disappointing! Especially since this is music that really pays dividends on attentive listening. Hi tele tone and chops are 🔥

Been away far too long, a made in Japan '62 reissue Telecaster. It's in pretty good shape, really just needs a clean and a restring.
It's early 90s I think, bought new but can't remember when. There's no serial anywhere. The one on the bridge suggests 85-86 but MiJ guitars notoriously used these bridges until about 2000.
The only way to know for sure is to take the neck off because they tended to write the date in pencil on the neck heel but that's not happening!
