Haven't seen it since I went to Northgate theater in north Seattle w/ my friend, Bruce.
Bruce's dad was a dentist that once took me & Bruce to the community pool, paid 50 cents for each of us, and then asked the clerk "If they drown, do I get my money back?"

Reena’s Xploration Challenge 429
For Reena’s RXC prompt, she invites us to compose poems inspired by the fantasy genre and imagine ourselves unexpectedly arriving somewhere strange while late-night doom-scrolling online.
Sijo?
A Korean verse form related to haiku and tanka and comprised of three lines of 14-16 syllables each, for a total of 44-46 syllables. Each line contains a pause near the middle, similar to a caesura, though the break need not be metrical. The first half of the line contains six to nine syllables; the second half should contain no fewer than five. Originally intended as songs, sijo can treat romantic, metaphysical, or spiritual themes. Whatever the subject, the first line introduces an idea or story, the second supplies a “turn,” and the third provides closure. Modern sijo are sometimes printed in six lines.

So, one of a few things I can't find is Dad's old Super 8 films from 1960s to early 1980s.
That said - I just found a DVD with them all on. I had no idea he'd digitised them all. Of course, it's got added naff music on these silent movies but I've removed that.
Also, it's apparent that Mum and Dad's Wedding from the 1960s has been horizontally flipped (again rectified).
What a lovely surprise it was to find, copy and back-up those memories.

when I was a kid I remember there was this "Etiquette for Ladies" TV show that would come on after The Price is Right when I was at my nanny's (my mom's stepmom) house
my weird little autistic trans girl brain treated that like gospel
I tried so hard to be a perfect little lady
and I couldn't figure out why it didn't make my mom happy
she's always very lady-like, I thought she'd like it
so I assumed I was just doing it wrong, or not good enough
I tried even harder, and eventually that "be lady-like" became one of the self-critical voices in my head
I still feel gross when I do something "unladylike" and it's weird

It seems everyone is talking about Mother's Day, and rightly so. But for those of us who have lost our mom, it can be painful. My mom passed away in 2014, and I miss her more than words.
