Song Of The Week : Cherry B – Starmonica

We have hand selected our song of the week! Hope you enjoy it. The band have described the song in their own words as well as given us an update about what is coming up for them.

Song Background Information

https://open.spotify.com/track/6aGSSFMEDyfpOqiaU3FJ29?si=bfa704a4381b4b69

The song was inspired through classic 80-90s rock, a song with more influences of thunder or the quireboys.

The song came together really well from riff to words in under an hour. We taught about releasing it for a while, as it was a bit different to our writing direction at the time, but after a few live run through and some feedback from our friends at local open mic in Tamworth, it stuck.

Other Information

We are currently in the process of pre production for our first EP, can’t wait to finally get it out so everyone can enjoy the songs they’ve been hearing live.

Our last couple gigs of the year are

• 7th November- Hairy Dog – Derby
• 4th December – Metal Monocle- Leicester

All rights to the song are retained by the recording artist. This site claims no rights over them. All images were provided by Cherry B and the single artwork is by Robyn kali Haslam. Photos provided by Cherry B with no credits.

Duane Regretzky’s Mind Palace

Buy the ticket and take the ride into Duane Regretzky’s Mind Palace, out Febuary 27 2026 on High End Denim Records. Fourteen tracks of interloping vaudevillian mania, Mind Palace offers an evolution of Duane’s sound. The album free falls through full band punk anthems, heartfelt protest songs, culinary calamities, and acoustic ballads. Occasionally exploding in a flourish of skate punk or power metal riffage, Mind Palace runs the gamut thematically and musically, a testament to Regretzky’s versatility.

What’s A Completely Useless Fact You Love Sharing?

For myself that would have to be the exact height in cm of a table tennis table! I only know this as at school it was a tie breaker for a quiz we were doing in class and the aim was the closest to the correct answer won.

I wrote down 76cm and to my and everyone else’s surprise it was absolutely bang on! I’d love to know your useless facts!

Indiestry Amplified Pick – Tender Youth : Back And Forth

https://open.spotify.com/track/0I2aCmZGVF4hFIA0MmHSuO?si=4588830447d247ff

Mica: This week’s Indiestry Amplified Pick is TENDER YOUTH and their stunning song ‘Back And Forth’ which features on their latest album ‘Turning Torso’ that they released during September.

TENDER YOUTH are currently based in London but are originally from Copenhagen where they formed the band during 2018.

TENDER YOUTH describe their sound as ‘Art-Rock’ which is pretty apt after listening to their latest album. This weeks pick was an instant stand out track for me that grabbed my interest with its atmospheric violin intro.
I would be very surprised if they didn’t release this as the lead single, because it certainly delivers with its eclectic mix of classical violins and loud guitars that culminates nicely with a glorious chorus that literally punches the sky.

It’s wonderful, and I am very happy to include this musical work of art on this month’s ‘indiestry session’ – our new music podcast – coming later this month around Halloween.

If you enjoyed TENDER YOUTH you can catch them live on their final London date of the ‘Turning Torso’ release tour on November 6th at The Workshop in Shoreditch, London.
