i've been thinking about an idea i had a decade or more ago when i was on the highway and saw an "adopt a road" sign.
what about "adopt a band"? i'm thinking about older musicians that don't have a website or barely have one.
for instance i sit in on a couple of songs with a jazz band on weds nights in my town. they have one album and it's really good but no one hears it. what if the technical among us find these forgotten artists and make them a webpage. there are some free options out there (cloudflare, etc) and just gift it to them?
i don't know. probably just a hippy pipe dream but just think how much that would mean to them. as artists, we just want to be seen. we want our music to show the world who we are or were.
