Trying to find the name of a few tunes that I still can't figure out even though I know I've heard them a million times before at old-time jams and contra dances and what not. I've been scouring @thesession with no luck!
The ones labeled "Tune 4", and "Tune 6" are still eluding me. Both are a medley so if you skip to half way through or so it will change and I'm trying to figure out both tunes (the second tune in "Tune 6" is "Waiting for Nancy" by Curt Bouterse, but the other three I'm unsure about).

The Jones Brothers & The Log Cabin Boys are pretty important Bluegrass musicians out of North Carolina, and they have dozens of releases on LP, 45, and cassette in their Discogs discography.
But, much to my surprise, neither group appeared on any documented Compact Disc (in Discogs, anyway).
So I got to add this disc to the database, and now the world knows that some of these songs did, in fact, make it onto CD. That's a real pleasure for me.
Anyone have something similar they take great enjoyment in, even if it's not specifically thrifting music that might or might not end up being important?

Personally, I find it virtually impossible to be depressed or down if there’s a banjo, mandolin and fiddle playing within earshot. Stereo stays on all day in our home. As I have good reason on occasion to entertain morbid thoughts, better than most, my self-care often involves liberal doses of upbeat #bluegrass as well as #Celtic and #NordicFolkMusic. You know, #music that makes your feet tap - breakdowns, jigs, reels, strathspeys and Nordic polska. 🎼

Back on a bluegrass kick again and I'm really enjoying Crooked Still at the moment. Just beautiful music and I'm a bit obsessed with the cello played like a fiddle - adds a really cool and unique sound
