  6. 37 years ago today, May 27, 1989, John Denver & Nitty Gritty Dirt Band debuted at #79 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “And So it Goes”. It went on to peak at #14 and spent a total of 23 weeks on the chart.

It’s been my hobby to collect 45 RPM singles over the years. I played this song a lot back then at AM 650 KYAK, the station I used to work for from 1987-1991.

  7. Let's resurrect #MoodMusicMonday. In honour of me killing time until surgery, today's mood will be "waiting".

Post the song or songs that fit the mood of "waiting" interpreted however you want, it can literally be a song about waiting, it can be meta where a song took a long time to come out or a artist/band waited a long time to release it, etc whatever you want!

If you can, link the song so others can listen!

Remember to include the mood "waiting" and hashtag #MoodMusicMonday so others can participate!

  22. 51 years ago today, May 24, 1975, Johnny Rodriguez debuted at #74 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Just Get Up and Close the Door”. It went on to peak at #1 and spent a total of 18 weeks on the chart.

It’s been a fun and exciting hobby to collect 45 RPM singles over the years. My favorite music store sold used records, so I was able to purchase and add older music to my collection too.
