I’ve been finding a ton of unique USED CDs in perfect shape out in the world lately.

And as much as I love vinyl, I will always snatch up CDs that are this cool.

The Simpsons CD has a whopping 53 songs on it, and has some of the best random Simpsons tunes on it, including Kirk Van Hauten’s (Millhouse’s dad) heart wrenching classic “Can I Borrow A Feeling?”. 😂
“Talkin’ Softball” too!
Just look at that track list.

As for Saturday Morning, I bought this on CD when it came out, mainly because dude I loved the band Dig, and they have a great version of the Fat Albert Theme on there.
Helmet does a mean “Gigantor”, and equally as cool is Tripping Daisy’s “Friends/Sigmund And The Sea Monsters”.

Haven’t heard these in YEARS!

I think I have my music 'workflow' perfect for my needs now.

1. Buy #CDs from charity shops or record shops.
2. Rip using fre:ac and check against AccurateRip DB for errors.
3. Add to Jellyfin library.
4. Sync to Symfonium app on my Android device for portability.
5. Play CDs on my hifi setup when at home.
6. Also use Bandcamp for niche genres like Ambient and Synthwave music, and add those to a dedicated Jellyfin library.

It works for me. Also avoids Spotify completely!

As a film, Dead Man is a strange, heady, acid-ridden #psychedelic Western, and they couldn’t have asked a more perfect dude to score it.

Neil’s music is exactly what the film looks and feels like.
He improvised the entire score from a recording studio while watching footage from the film, consisting of seven instrumentals, with dialog excerpts from the film threaded between them, as well as Johnny Depp reading the poetry.

“You were a poet and a painter. Now you are a killer of white men.”

Incredible find.

I hope the next NYA vinyl box set has this in it.

Streaming music sucks, but it’s also so convenient and ubiquitous. Having access to music streaming means that any song I want from any era is constantly available.
