Después de estas jornadas de intercambios y de vanos intentos por dialogar con instituciones del gobierno, ya que las 10 solicitudes de audiencia –empezando por la misma presidencia de Nasry Asfura– fueron ignoradas, hoy se despidieron reconociendo que dejan a Honduras en un contexto de grave crisis de vulnerabilidad de las comunidades campesinas, indígenas y garífunas, y frente a una extrema crisis de derechos humanos.

En un comunicado y conferencia con medios para cerrar los trabajos de la delegación, concluyeron que el Estado hondureño viola los derechos de los pueblos garífunas y el derecho internacional al “no dar cumplimiento a ninguna de las cuatro sentencias” emitidas por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Coridh) sobre los casos de las comunidades de Triunfo de la Cruz, Punta Piedra y Cayos Cochinos. Después de estas jornadas de intercambios y de vanos intentos por dialogar con instituciones del gobierno, ya que las 10 solicitudes de audiencia –empezando por la misma presidencia de Nasry Asfura– fueron ignoradas, hoy se despidieron reconociendo que dejan a Honduras en un contexto de grave crisis de vulnerabilidad de las comunidades campesinas, indígenas y garífunas, y frente a una extrema crisis de derechos humanos.

En un comunicado y conferencia con medios para cerrar los trabajos de la delegación, concluyeron que el Estado hondureño viola los derechos de los pueblos garífunas y el derecho internacional al “no dar cumplimiento a ninguna de las cuatro sentencias” emitidas por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Coridh) sobre los casos de las comunidades de Triunfo de la Cruz, Punta Piedra y Cayos Cochinos. Todos ellos implican situaciones de robo y usurpación de tierras y derechos por medios violentos."
