  1. Mutual Aid Request Roundup 26 Aug 2026

East Nusa Tenggara's earthquake death toll reached 100 and displacement hit 180,327 by August 24. The same week, police arrested 72 people over deliberate arson in Kalimantan, a government meal program sickened its 40,759th person, and a bank froze a protest coordinator's account. Relief funds for the earthquake and fires, plus this week's mutual aid requests, below.

  2. UPDATE: $528/$593 received so far. Alhamdulillah, we’re so close. Can anyone please help close the remaining $65 gap?

I still need to cover groceries, meds, and overdue bills ASAP, pls.

    Breakdown:
    • $250 for groceries.
    • $218 for meds, which I’ve been without for almost eight whole months now, having had to trade them for food just to survive. I can’t do that anymore. It has to stop.
    • $125 for electricity, water, and internet. The 16 August deadline has already passed. I finally paid for internet, Alhamdulillah, but water and electricity are still unpaid. The building manager was kind enough to keep the lights on in my unit, but I have to take a shower downstairs.

Please support if you have the capacity, and boost this as widely as you can. I need to get the remaining $65 covered urgently.

    Thank you, thank you.

  3. :cybre_glitch: MUTUAL AID - $0/50 :cybre_glitch:

Well fuck. Now I have to deal with bedbugs. Can anyone send me $50 so I can get stuff to get rid of these damn things? ( I have been through this before) It is thankfully not as bad as I expected and will be easy to fix since it is isolated but I need to buy the chemicals to kill these fuckers.

  4. Hello everyone, you can submit your mutual aid request here for amplification on the Fediverse and the general worldwide web: mutualaidspace.org/submit

When you submit through the form, the post will be federated as @comrade. It will automatically tag @[email protected] and @[email protected], alongside human profiles including my personal account @wrzky, my blog @[email protected], and the project account @mutualaidspace. It will also automatically add hashtags for wider circulation and indexed search: #mutualaid #mutualaidspace #mutualaidrequest #poverty #healthcare #mentalhealth #disability #disabilitymutualaid #disabilitycrowdfund #fedihelp #fediverse #politics #emergencycrowdfund

Functionally, this is similar to tagging me, my blog, or my mutual aid project in your own mutual aid request post. The main difference is that the submission form allows you to anonymise yourself and have the request circulate through @comrade instead of your own social media account.

The form is also useful if you do not have a Fediverse profile, or if you simply do not have many followers there. Your request does not depend entirely on the size of your own social network to reach people, because mutualaidspace.org has its own amplification infrastructure.

mutualaidspace.org does not retain your email address or other contact information. The email address entered into the form is only used to notify you when the post is automatically taken down after one week.

A Fediverse profile is already a social media profile where you can separate yourself from your IRL identity. But when asking the general public on the worldwide web for solidarity and material support, mutual aid seekers are often among the people in the most vulnerable position online. They may still go out of their way to reveal who they are, their circumstances, and other personal information because asking strangers for support often comes with pressure to prove that the need is real.

The form does not remove that reality, but it provides a semblance of a barrier between the mutual aid seeker, their own social media profile on the Fediverse, and general netizens. The request can still travel through the Fediverse and the wider web without necessarily making the mutual aid seeker's own social media identity the account being circulated alongside it.

It functions mainly as an amplifier, so please do not use the form as the only place where you put your mutual aid request. You can either paste the link to your own mutual aid request post into the form or write your mutual aid request manually.

The point is to help the request travel further while giving the person asking for support a little more control over how directly their social media identity is attached to that circulation.
